Kant's theory of moral freedom is a beautiful flower growing on the tree of the mankind thought. Nourished by the seniors, Kant conceived of his theory of moral freedom on the base of thought resources offered by his forerunners.Will is extremely important critical concept in Kant's ethics, it closely connected with Kant's theory of moral freedom. The will in Kant's ethics is a kind of satisfying desires capability decided by reason and possesses some super creature feature. The will concept in Kant's ethics and morality is a complicated one, usually referring to different aspects and contents in different language atmosphere. Being the whole satisfying desires capability, the will can be divided into pure will and experience will. It can also be divided into lawmaking will and choosing will. Lawmaking will refers to the practical reason, it connects with rules and performs the legislative functions of the will. Choosing will is the practical reason shows and displays in the perceptual phenomenon world. It connects with criterions and performs the executive functions of the will. The pure will, namely the self-discipline will, is the choosing will chooses the rules established by the lawmaking will as its objective or subjective prescribing foundation in formulating its rules, the lawmaking will "prescribes" the choosing will. Because either lawmaking will or choosing will belongs to one whole function will, they are called self-discipline of will. The experience will refers to the choosing will doesn't choose the congenital forms established by the lawmaking will as its subjective prescribing foundation, but regarding other perceptual natural regular patterns as its subjective prescribing foundation in formulating its rules. The congenital forms criterions aren't performed accordingly in the perceptual phenomenon world, in the light of one function will, the freedom law of the will can't control itself, thus it's called "common discipline of will".Freedom concept is the arched roof of Kant's philosophy mansion.
