In recent 30 years, international Chinese language teaching has been through rapid development. However,Chinese discourse teaching has always been a weak point.Recently, with the influence of discourse study abroad, domestic international Chinese teaching has also turned to discourse study as a key point.During the practical Chinese teaching, the author found that the Romanian Chinese elementary learners make many cohesion errors in Chinese discourse. On this condition, under the guidance of discourse errors theory and discourse cohesion errors theory, investigating the textual corpus of Romanian elementary Chinese learners, this thesis sorts out discourse cohesion errors hereof systematically and explains the reasons intensively,by analysis and description, statistical method and questionnaire. It tries to propose several suggestions for discourse teaching on such basis. This paper firstly introduces research background and purpose. In background introductions,it mainly narrates the definition, methods and previous research problems of discourse cohesion. The main purpose of this paper is,by looking into cohesion error in textual discourses written by Romanian Chinese language beginners to find out particular cohesion error of Romanian Chinese language learners and to analyze the reason hereof,so that to raise some instructive suggestions for Chinese language instruction. This paper takes 45 narrations and 35 questionnaires from first-year Chinese majors from University of Bucharest in Romania as corpus. The paper focuses on two cohesion methods including reference cohesion and conjunction cohesion. For reference cohesion, reference errors in demonstrative pronoun, personal pronoun and zero anaphora are main concern. It is found out by examples and graphs that demonstrative pronoun should be one key point for Romanian Chinese language learners for it takes high portion among all errors,no matter narrations or questionnaires are studied. For conjunction cohesion,it is mainly studied the abuse or omit of coordinating conjunction, alternative conjunction, progressive conjuntion, conditional conjunction, hypothetical conjunction, consequence conjunction, adversative conjunction and continuing conjunction.Because of the diverse collocation of these conjunctions, most errors occur in the case of conjunction for Chinese language learners, the portion of which is up to 85.31%.As for application of conjunction, cohesion errors mainly happen in the cases of conditional conjunction, coordinating conjunction and adversative conjunction, the portion of which are 19.4%,18.31%and 18.03%.Through the examples and graphs, this paper sum up two characters of Romanian primary Chinese learners’ cohesion errors as followed:the imbalance of distribution and the repeating of errors.Onbasis of the data analysis discusses characteristics concluded, main causes for Romanian primary Chinese learners cohesion errors in discourse, which are passive influence from learner’s mother language, passive influence from the target language, the effect of learning and communicating strategies, and the effect of the learning environmen.By intensive analysis of cohesion error samples,it is suggested that the discourse in primary text materials should be improved at the first place, and that they should cultivate the sense of discourse, finally, teachers could help Chinese learners to master textual cohesion by correcting wrong sentence, filling blanks with given words, sentence expansion, composition according to an illustration. This paper has two characteristics:(1)The corpus collected from Romanian Chinese learners of primary level can contribute to that in Chinese corpus.(2)The questionnaire relatively increases the scientificity, rigor and accuracy, while providing such reference for later concerning researches.
