Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Sheshang capsule in the treatment of patients with fire toxin syndrome caused by Trimeresurus stejnegeri,and the influence of the expression of IL-8,MCP-1 and ICAM-1,and to observe the safety of Sheshang capsule.Methods The 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=30)and the control group(n=30).The control group received basic drug treatment,and the treatment group received basic drug therapy combined with Sheshang capsule treatmen.The clinical syndrome scores of the patients were observed before treatment and 7 days after treatment.The expression of IL-8,MCP-1 and ICAM-1 of the patients were identified by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.White blood cells,monocytes and platelets were measured by five kinds of blood cell counter,thrombin time,prothrombin time and fibrinogen were measured by hemagglutination analyzer.Alanine aminotransferase,glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase,urea nitrogen and creatinine were measured by biochemical analyzer.The clinical efficacy and the levels of IL-8,MCP-1 and ICAM-1,WBC,monocyte count,platelet count,thrombin time,prothrombin time,fibrinogen,alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,urea nitrogen and creatinine levels were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results 1.There was no significant difference in gender and age between the treatment group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).2.There was no significant difference in TCM syndrome score between the treatment group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).The TCM syndrome scores of the treatment group and the control group reduced significantly after treatment(P<0.01),and the reduction degree of the treatment group was more than the control group(P<0.05).3.There was no significant difference in IL-8,MCP-1 and ICAM-1 levels between the treatment group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).The expression of IL-8,MCP-1 and ICAM-1 reduced after treatment in the control groups(P<0.05)and treatment group(P<0.01),and the decrease degree of IL-8,MCP-1 and ICAM-1 in the treatment group was more than the control group(P<0.01).4.There was no significant difference in white blood cell count and monocyte count between the experimental group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).The white blood cell count and monocyte count were significantly lower than those before treatment after treatment in the control groups(P<0.05)and treatment group(P<0.01),and the reduction degree of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).5.There was no significant difference in platelet count,thrombin time,prothrombin time and fibrinogen between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).they were in the normal range after treatment.6.The serum alanine aminotransferase,glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase,urea nitrogen and creatinine were in the normal range before and after treatment.There was no significant difference(P>0.05)Conclusion 1.Sheshang capsule combined with basic drugs could reduce the clinical symptoms of patients with fire toxin syndrome caused by Trimeresurus stejnegeri,and the clinical curative effect is better than that the simple basic drug treatment.2.Sheshang capsule could attenuate inflammation by reducing the expression of ICAM-1,IL-8,MCP-1,leukocyte and neutrophil of patients with fire toxin syndrome caused by bamboo leaf green snake.3.Sheshang capsule has good safety and no adverse reactions in the treatment of patients with fire toxin syndrome caused by Trimeresurus stejnegeri.
