Object: To observe the clinical efficacy of auricular acupuncture and electroacupuncture in patients with cancer-related insomnia(sleep quality, depressive symptoms, quality of life of patients with cancer)and to explore the clinical efficacy of auricular acupuncture and electroacupuncture in the treatment of cancer-related insomnia. In order to provide a reliable clinical basis for the choice of clinical treatment of tumor-related insomnia.Method: A total of 68 patients with cancer-related insomnia who met the inclusion criteria were divided into auricular acupuncture group and electroacupuncture group,34 cases in each group. The two groups received routine hospitalization treatment. The auricular acupuncture group selected Shenmen,Heart,Kidney and Pizhixia acupuncture needles, each time taking unilateral auricular point treatment, alternating auricular points on both sides;electroacupuncture group selected Baihui,Sishencong,Yintang,Shenmen,Hegu,Zusanli,Zhaohai acupuncture needles and let the patient feel sore, numbless, and heavy in every acupuncture point and the electroacupuncture is connected to Baihui(+)and Yintang(-)to output continuous waves, frequency is 2Hz,the intensity is comfortable for the patient.he above two groups of patients were treated once a day for 20 minutes and for 10 consecutive days.using the Total Sleep Effectiveness,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Insomnia Severity(ISI),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Cancer Patient Quality of Life Measurement(EORTC QLQ-C30)evaluated the patient's sleep quality and quality of life.Results:1.Compared with before treatment, the two groups of patients after treatment andone week after the end of treatment, the total scores of ISI were significantlylower(P<0.05);the total scores of PSQI were significantly lower(P<0.05);Theoverall health status score of the patients was significantly increased(P<0.05);The individual scores of PSQI in the patients were significantly improved exceptfor the sleep time scores of the electroacupuncture group(P<0.05).The totalHAMD score of the patients was significantly decreased after treatment and oneweek after the end of treatment, and there was a statistical difference(P<0.05).2.Compared with the electroacupuncture group, the total effective rate of sleep inthe two groups showed that after treatment and one week after the end oftreatment the total effective rate of the auricular acupuncture group was higherthan the electroacupuncture group, but there was no significant differencecompared with the electroacupuncture group(P>0.05).The total scores of thescales showed that after treatment and one week after the end of treatment, thetotal score of ISI in the auricular acupuncture group was significantly lower(P<0.05).The total score of PSQI in the auricular acupuncture group wassignificantly lower(P<0.05);there was no significant decrease in HAMD scoresin the auricular acupuncture group and there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).The scores of various form items showed that after treatment, the sleepquality, sleeping time, sleep disturbance and daytime dysfunction scores ofPSQI in the auricular acupuncture group were significantly lower(P<0.05).Atone week after the end of treatment the scores of sleep time, sleep disturbanceand daytime dysfunctionin PSQI patients in the auricular acupuncture groupwere significantly lower(P<0.05).After treatment and one week after the end oftreatment, the scores of physical function, role function, cognitive function, social function, fatigue and pain in the QLQ-C30 scale were significantly lower(P<0.05).After treatment and one week after the end of treatment, the scores ofphysical function, role function, cognitive function, social function, fatigue andpain in the QLQ-C30 scale were significantly lower(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both auricular acupuncture and electroacupuncture can improve the sleep qualityand depression of patients with cancer-related insomnia, and increase the qualityof life of cancer-related insomnia patients.2.Auricular acupuncture is better than electroacupuncture in improving the sleepquality of patients with Cancer-related insomnia and The efficacy of auricularacupuncture treatment has a maintenance effect for a certain period of time.
