Objective:The frailty assessment scale for geriatric trauma patients was developed and validated to assess the frailty level of emergency geriatric trauma patients within 24 hours after admission. It can provide reference for medical staff to master the disease situation of patients more comprehensively and formulate reasonable treatment measures,so as to improve the prognosis and quality of life of geriatric trauma patients.Methods:1.Through literature review, team brainstorming and Delphi experts' consultation, the initial scale of frailty assessment for geriatric trauma patients was constructed, and each item was assigned according to the "cumulative loss theory".2.Through two rounds of Delphi expert consultation,an initial scale of 32 items in 6 dimensions(general health status, daily activity ability, cognitive ability, mental status, social support, basic diseases)was formed.Use the correlation coefficient method and the critical ratio method to analyze the initial items.Among them,4 items were deleted by the correlation coefficient method(have you fallen in the past year, did you need help to go to the bathroom, did you live alone, have you been diagnosed joint disease),4 items have been deleted by the critical ratio method(in the past month, have you ever felt anxious or worried, when you need help, can you find someone who can help, and have you been diagnosed Malignant tumor disease,Can you take the vehicle alone). Finally,a 24-item frailty assessment scale for geriacric trauma patients was formed.3.Exploratory factor analysis was used to evaluate the structural validity of the scale. The results showed that the KMO value was 0.823 and the Chi-square value of the Bartlett sphere test was 9238.14.The test result was significant P <0.001,indicating that the data can be analyzed by factor analysis.Five common factors were extracted by principal component analysis, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 65.92%.The relationship between the distribution and dimensions of common factors is in good agreement with the original concept. In addition, using the Frailty Index(FI)as the calibration standard of the scale, the results show that the different dimensions of the scale are highly correlated with the FI score. The correlation coefficient of the total score of the two scales is 0.751.Geriatric trauma patients' frailty assessment scale has good reliability, its retest reliability is 0.762,Cronbach's Alpha coefficient is 0.87,except for the general health status of 0.64,Cronbach's Alpha coefficients of all dimensions are greater than 0.80,with good Internal consistency. Conclusion:The frailty assessment scale for the geriatric trauma patients has good reliability and validity, which can be widely used in the emergency assessment of the geriatric trauma patients in China,so that the medical staff can master the disease situation of the patients more comprehensively and formulate reasonable treatment measures for reference.
