objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of foldable artificial vitreous balloon(Foldable Capsular Vitreous Body,FCVB)implantation in traumatic eyes. Methods: This study collected 30 patients(30 eyes)who underwent vitrectomy + FCVB + silicone oil implantation for ocular trauma in Shenzhen Eye Hospital from July 2018 to August 2019.They were followed up for half a year to observe the subjective ocular sensation,FCVB position, preoperative and postoperative visual acuity and intraocular pressure, corneal transparency, depth of anterior chamber, retinal reattachment, exophthalmos and postoperative complications. The data were analyzed by SPSS25.0 software, the measurement data were expressed by X ąs,and the related indexes at different time points were tested by single factor analysis of variance. Results: In this study, all 30 cases of FCVB+ silicone oil were operated successfully, the position of FCVB was suitable, and there was no rejection after operation. After operation,17 patients complained of FCVB,which relieved or disappeared a week later,25 patients complained of dryness and needed artificial tears for 3 months or more. There was no significant difference in visual acuity between pre-and post-operation(F=1.690,P=0.156>0.05).There was no significant difference in intraocular pressure at each time period after operation, but there was significant difference compared with that before operation. It can be concluded that the intraocular pressur e at each time period after operation was lower and significantly lower than that before operation. There was a significant negative correlation between postoperative corneal transparency and anterior chamber depth(r = 0.852).It can be concluded that the good maintenance of anterior chamber depth after operation plays a positive role in the maintenance of corneal transparency. In 23 of the 30 patients, slit lamp microscope / B ultrasound / SLO showed that the retina adhered well and the retinal reattachment rate was 76.67%.It can be concluded that FCVB filling contributes to retinal reattachment. There was no significant difference in the degree of exophthalmos before and after operation(F=0.527,P=0.716>0.05).It was concluded that there was no significant change in the degree of exophthalmos before and after operation, and F CVB plays a positive role in maintaining the degree of exophthalmos. The main postoperative complications were postoperative hyphema in 11 cases, exposure of subconjunctival drainage tube in 1 case and contralateral sympathetic ophthalmitis in 1 case.No serious adverse events occurred in all operations and no systemic complications were observed. Conclusion: FCVB implantation is safe and effective in the treatment of traumatic eyes, which can maintain the shape of eyeball and avoid eyeball atrophy and enucleation.
