Post-traumatic stress disorder of police refers to the comprehensive symptoms of a series of physical and psychological disorders delayed after the police experience or encounter traumatic events due to their inability to adjust themselves well. This will not only have a bad effect on the physical and mental health of the police, but also is not conducive to improving the combat effectiveness of the public security forces. In order to explore the factors affecting police PTSD and to put forward targeted Suggestions for reducing the occurrence of police PTSD symptoms, this study took 278 police officers who experienced traumatic events in X prefecture city of fujian province as the research objects, and adopted the method of questionnaire survey. The statistical software SPSS19.0 and Process2.0 were used to process the collected data, and the following conclusions were drawn:1.The incidence of police post-traumatic stress disorder is higher than the general population.2.Demographic factors have an impact on police post-traumatic stress disorder.Age,police age and marital status all have influence on the post traumatic stress disorder.3.The intensity of traumatic events has a significant positive effect on police PTSD.The higher the intensity of traumatic events, the more likely the police are to develop PTSD.In contrast,PTSD is less likely to develop.4.Social support has a significant negative impact on police PTSD.The better the social support, the less likely the police were to develop PTSD;In contrast, the higher the risk of PTSD.5.Neuroticism has a significant positive effect on police post-traumatic stress disorder.Police with high neuroticism were more likely to have PTSD,while police with low neuroticism were less likely to have PTSD.6.Social support and neuroticism play a part in mediating the influence of traumatic event intensity on PTSD.The intensity of traumatic events can not only directly affect PTSD,but also affect PTSD through social support and neuroticism. On the basis of the above research conclusion, this paper puts forward the countermeasures to prevent police PTSD from Public Security Bureau and police themselves.
