Objective To examine the expression of TLR9 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells and the level of sE-cadherin in the serum of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. To explore the role and significance of TLR9 and E-cadherin in the pathogonesis of SLE.Methods 41 SLE patients and 18 healthy controls were randomly selected.Expression of TLR9 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells was determined by Flow cytometry(FCM).E-cadherin levels were measured in the serum by ELISA.Based on the results,we analyzed the expression of TLR9 and E-cadherin in SLE patients and the correlation between the two and clinical indicators SLEDAI.Results Compared with healthy subjects, the expression of TLR9 in peripherql blood mononuclear cells was higher among SLE patients(mean±SD :7.78±2.47vs2.58±1.25,P=0.00),activity group was higher than inactivity group(9.25±1.93vs5.49±1.09,P=0.00),there was significant difference between two groups.Compared with healthy subjects, the expression of sE-cadherin in serum was higher among SLE patients(mean±SD:77.05±3.51vs67.28±2.65,P=0.00),there was significant difference between two groups;activity group was higher than inactivity group(77.89±3.68vs75.75±2.86,P=0.06),but there was no significant difference between activity group and inactivity group. The positive correlation was observed between TLR9 expression levels and clinical measure of the SLEDAI(r=0.727,P=0.00),there was significant difference between two groups. Conclusions Higher expression of TLR9 in SLE patients,The activity group was higher than inactivity group and healthy controls, inactivity group was higher than healthy controls.Higher levels of E-cadherin were higher in SLE patients,The activity group was higher than inactivity group and healthy controls, inactivity group was higher than healthy controls, but there was no significant difference between activity group and inactivity group. There was positive correlation between TLR9 and SLEDAI. |
