Correlation Between Serum Cystatin C And Cardiac Function In Elderly Patients With Heart Failure

Objective:To investigate the relationship between cystatin C and cardiac function and ventricular remodeling by analyzing the expression of cystatin C in patients with chronic heart failure.Method:From September 2018 to September 2019,166 patients with heart failure were selected as the heart failure group,of which 86 were male and 80 were female.The medical history met the selection criteria according to NYHA The standard is divided into 85 cases of class II Group(including 46 males and 39 females),39 cases of class III group(including 20 males and 19 females),42 cases of class IV group(including 20 males and 22 females).30 elderly patients(including 16 males and 14 females)with normal physical examination in the same period are selected as the control group,and the gender,age,height,weight and smoking of all selected patients are recorded after admission History,history of cardiovascular disease,etc.the levels of serum cystatin C(CysC)and NT proBNP were recorded from the results of fasting blood sampling after admission.The left ventricular diameter(LVEDd),left ventricular posterior wall thickness(LVPW),ventricular septal thickness(IVS)were recorded from the results of color Doppler echocardiography.The cardiac function was graded according to the history and relevant clinical guidelines.use SPSS25.0 The software analyzes the data,and the chi square test is used for the comparison between groups of counting data;the variance analysis is used for the comparison between groups of measuring data that conform to the normal distribution,and the rank sum test is used for the comparison between groups that do not conform to the normal distribution..Result:1.There was no significant difference in age,sex,body mass index and LVPW between the two groups(P > 0.05).There were significant differences in IVS,LVEDd,LVEF,CysC and NT proBNP between the two groups(P < 0.05).The CysC,LVEDd and NT proBNP levels in the heart failure group were higher than those in the control group,and LVEF values were lower than those in the control group.2.The distribution of age,IVS,LVEDd,LVEF,CysC and NT proBNP were different in different grades of heart failure group and control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).3.There was a positive correlation between cardiac function and CysC(r = 0.783 P < 0.01).4.There was a negative correlation between CysC and LVEF(r =-0.570 P < 0.01).CysC level was positively correlated with LVEDd and IVS(r = 0.479,0.230 P < 0.01).Conclusion:1.There was no significant difference in age,gender,body mass index and left ventricular posterior wall thickness between the elderly patients with heart failure and those with normal physical examination.2.The distribution of age,IVS,LVEDd,LVEF,CysC and NT proBNP were different in different levels of elderly patients with heart failure and normal physical examination.3.There was a positive correlation between cardiac function grade and CysC level in elderly patients with heart failure.4.The level of CysC was negatively correlated with LVEF and positively correlated with LVEDd and IVS.
