Autism is a widespread developmental disorder in children,the cause of which is not clear and the rehabilitation is difficult.China has a large number of children with autism,and the number of children with autism is increasing year by year.Family caregivers of autistic children are faced with great psychological pressure,and their psychological pressure can not be effectively alleviated,which affects the rehabilitation of autistic children and the whole family life.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and social value to study the sources of psychological stress and the alleviation of psychological stress of family caregivers of autistic children.This work takes the family caregivers of autistic children in S Rehabilitation Hospital as the research object.The data were collected by literature research,observation,interview and questionnaire survey.The study found that family caregivers of autistic children generally have negative emotions such as anxiety and pessimism,their psychological stress level is high and need to relieve psychological stress urgently.Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory,the main sources of psychological stress of family caregivers as follow.The huge economic cost of rehabilitation training,plenty of energy consumption of care and rehabilitation training,and the physiological needs of caregivers were limited.Concerns about the children and their own future,the need for safety is difficult to guarantee.Children with autism lead to the escalation of family conflict and lack of need for belonging and love.Social discrimination and exclusion,insufficient need for caregiver respect.The social participation of caregivers is limited lead to the needs of self-realization are not satisfied.In the practical stage,in order to relieve the psychological pressure of family caregivers of autistic children,group work was used as the major method.Under the guidance of social support theory and Maslow 's hierarchy of needs theory,based on the main sources of psychological pressure of caregivers,seven Theme Group activities were designed and carried out.By providing instrumental social support for alternative care services,informational social support for knowledge sharing on autism rehabilitation training,emotional social support for mutual respect and acceptance among group members,peer social support for peer pressure reduction and relaxation through group activities in which group members participate,to meet the physical,safety,attachment and love,respect,and self-actualization needs of family caregivers.Process Assessment and outcome assessment were used to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention in group work.The psychological stress of the group members was measured before and after the group work intervention with the "Perceived Stress Scale".The results showed that the psychological stress of the group members was significantly reduced and further indicated that the intervention of group work can effectively reduce the psychological stress of family caregivers.At last,the researchers further summarized the application value of social support theory and Maslow 's hierarchy of needs in the psychological stress relief group for family caregivers.It suggested that relieve the psychological pressure of family caregivers of autistic children,with a view to providing more effective and appropriate social work services for this group.Some suggestions were put forward to relieve the psychological pressure of family caregivers of autistic children,so as to provide more effective and appropriate social work services for this group.
