ObjectiveIn this study, the expression levels of interleukin-35(IL-35)and interleukin-37(IL-37)in serum of patients with acute bronchial asthma during smoking were detected. To compare the effect of smoking on the serum anti-inflammatory factors in the serum of patients with acute asthma and normal physical examination. To assess the effect of smoking on the expression levels of interleukin-35(IL-35)and interleukin-37(IL-37)in the serum of patients with acute bronchial asthma. The smoking index can reflect the degree of exposure to tobacco smoke and explore the relationship between smoke exposure and severity of inflammatory response.IL-35 and IL-37 not only inhibit excessive inflammatory responses and regulate the immune response by negative feedback, but also play an important role in the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma. So we through the observation of smoking and non-smoking patients with acute asthma and normal physical examination in serum IL-35 and IL-37 expression level of change situation, analysis of smoking in the airways of the asthma patients with acute aggravating period of immune-the impact of inflammation mechanism, for the diagnosis and treatment of acute episode of bronchial asthma to provide evidence of immunology.MethodsCollected 75 patients with acute asthma(smoking and non-smoking)from January2018 to December 2019 in the Departiment of Respiratory Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shenyang Medical College.Collected from January 2018 toDecember 2019 physical examination(smoking and non-smoking)74 cases in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shenyang Medical College.According to smoking index(a year)divided into asthma acute phase SI <400 subgroups or asthma acute phase SI≥400 subgroups or health smoking SI<400 subgroups and smoking SI≥400subgroups.The level of IL-35 and IL-37 in the serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The test results were analyzed by statistical software, and the two independent samples were tested by t test.ResultsSerum levels of IL-35 and IL-37 in the acute asthma attack group were significantly lower than those in the healthy group(P < 0.01).In the acute asthma group, the expression of the percentage of neutrophils(NEUT%)、FEV1% and FEV1/FVC% by smokers was significantly decreased than those of non-smoker(P<0.05),the expression of the percentage of eosinophil by smokers was significantly higher than those of non-smokers(P <0.01).In the acute asthma group,WBC and CRP by smokers was no significant difference than those of non-smokers(P > 0.01).The serum levels of IL-35 and IL-37 by smokers were significantly decreased than that of healthy smokers(P <0.01).The serum levels of IL-35 and IL-37 by smokers were significantly decreased than that of non-smokers(P<0.01).The values of IL-35 and IL-37 with SI <400 smokers were significantly decreased than those of non-smokers(P<0.01).The values of IL-35 and IL-37 in the SI≥400 smoker were significantly decreased than those of non-smokers(P <0.01),and the difference was statistically significant.IL-35 and IL-37 in the SI≥400 smoker were significantly reduced than the SI <400 smoker,(P <0.01).In the healthy group, the values of IL-35 and IL-37 by smoker were significantly lower than those of non-smoker(P <0.01).In the healthy group,The values of IL-35 and IL-37 by SI <400 smoker were significantly decreased than those of non-smoker(P <0.01).In the healthy group,The values of IL-35 and IL-37 by SI≥400 smoker were significantly decreased than those of non-smoker(P<0.01).In the healthy group,The values of IL-35 and IL-37 by SI≥400 smoker weresignificantly decreased than those of SI <400 smoker(P <0.01).Conclusions1.Anti-inflammatory factors IL-35 and IL-37 are involved in the immune response during the acute attack of asthma, and the serum levels of IL-35 and IL-37 in patients with the acute attack of asthma are significantly reduced.2.Smoking is associated with the expression levels of IL-35 and IL-37 in the serum of patients with acute bronchial asthma.Smoking can reduce the levels of IL-35 and IL-37 in the serum of patients with acute bronchial asthma.3.This study was divided into light smoking subgroup(S < I400)and heavy smoking subgroup(SI≥400)according to the amount of smoking. In this study, compared with the non-smoking group, the serum expression levels of IL-35 and IL-37 were decreased in the mild smoking group and the severe smoking group.Serum levels of IL-35 and IL-37 in the heavy smoking subgroup were significantly lower than those in the light smoking subgroup.
