Objective:Small cell lung cancer is a special pathological type of lung cancer, accounting for about 13% to 15% of all lung tumors.Although small cell lung cancer is sensitive to radiotherapy and chemotherapy,it is highly invasive, metastasizes early, and grows rapidly. Its prognosis is poor. This study explored the prognostic factors related to the overall survival of localized small cell lung cancer. Methods:From December 2015 to December 2017,85 patients who were treated in the Department of Oncology and Radiotherapy of the Second Hospital of Jilin University were collected.85 patients were diagnosed as small cell lung cancer by pathology and localized lung cancer by imaging.SPSS 25.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate the median survival time and survival rates of 1 year,2 years, and 3 years.Log-rank method was used to calculate whether the factors had statistical differences in survival(P <0.05).The COX proportional hazard model was used for multivariate analysis to explore the independent factors affecting survival(P <0.05).Results:1.85 patients were followed up to December 01,2019.Seven patients(8.2%)survived and 78 patients(91.8%)died.The shortest survival time was 6 months, the longest survival time was 43 months, and the median survival time was 21 months,The 1-year survival rate is 81.2%,the 2-year survival rate is 41.2%,and the 3-year survival rate is 14.1%,respectively2.Univariate analysis: smoking or not,neuron-specific enolase levels and hemoglobin levels at the first visit, timing of radiotherapy intervention,KPS score, and whether or not preventive brain irradiation affected the survival of 85 patients. It has statistical significance(P <0.05).Five factors, such as gender, age, sodium level at the time of initial consultation, tumor location, and segmentation method, had no effect on the survival of 85 patients(P> 0.05).3.COX multivariate analysis: radiotherapy intervention timing,KPS score, and prophylactic brain irradiation are three independent factors that influence the survival of 85 patients Conclusions:Smoking, elevated NSE levels at the first visit and anemia, late radiotherapy intervention time(?3 cycles of chemotherapy intervention),poor KPS score, and no prophylactic brain irradiation treatment were poor prognostic factors for localized small cell lung cancer.Radiotherapy intervention timing,KPS score, and whether or no prophylactic brain irradiation treatment are independent prognostic factors that affect the survival of localized small cell lung cancer.
