Nasalance is one of the essential perspectives to study nasals and nasalized vowels.Present research literature mostly observe the two things with the help of nasal tone for the medical diagnosis.Taking the snoring children with swelling adenoids or tonsils as the main research object, this paper sets the normal children as the control group and takes advantage of Glottal's Nasalance Separator handle as well as analysis softwares to study children's Nasalance of Mandarin vowels and nasals and the curve of a syllable's Nasalance. The analysis shows the children with stertorous symptom has higher level of Mandarin Nasalance. In addition, the kids with sleep apnea syndrome own higher Nasalance in high vowels compared to low vowels. The vowel's Nasalance usually climbs when it combines with nasals to different extent. Also different tones have impact on vowels' Nasalance. In Mandarin, three nasals /n/,/m/ and /?/ arrange from the highest to the lowest in terms with Nasalance.Nasalance is influenced obviously by its forward vowel when the nasal is Codas. The nasal as initial has higher degree than it as Codas. The curve of Nasalance can somehow reflect the combination of phoneme in syllables. The multiple divergences of curves are decided by the independence and compactness of phoneme. This study discovers that this curve changes along with time variation.Articulatory stability and transition on it remind the independence and the degree of fusion. The syllable with nasal initial constant emerges on nasal stable segment frequently, verifying the stabilization of nasal initials. The ratio of nasal stable segment in the final position of syllables with nasal endings is smaller than that of initial positions, which means nasal Codas is pretty unstable in pronunciation. The nasalized vowels stable segment or Nasalance increasing segment tells that the nasal Codas weakens or disappears,in other words, the independence of the nasal in the syllable hardly exists. When it comes to vowels, the Nasalance is more steady, showing independence.Nonetheless, vowels without nasal stabilization exist when they are affected by nasals at the beginning. The intermediate segment of a nasal curve helps to judge the degree of fusion between phonemes in the syllable. The transition section refers to the part connecting two adjacent stable segments on the curve of nasal tone degree, which generally presents an upward or downward trend with high slope. It is generally acknowledged that long and smooth transition section signifies the tight merging of two adjacent phonemes in the syllable,on the contrary, short and harsh transition segment illustrates their low degree of fusion.
