Objective To explore the applicable conditions and efficacy of endoscopic treatment for anastomotic leak after colorectal cancer surgery,in order to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods The clinical data of 56 patients with anastomotic leak after colorectal cancer admitted to our hospital from January 2013 to December 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Of the 56 patients,17 cases underwent endoscopic metal clip closure(30.4%);endoscopic tissue sealant closure in 9 cases(16.1%);endoscopic stent closure in 10 cases(17.9%);endoscopic metal clip combined with tissue sealant treatment in 20 cases(35.7%).Endoscopic treatment of anastomotic leak achieved complete closure in 33 cases(58.9%),partial closure in 19 cases(33.9%)and failure in 4 cases(7.2%).First effective closure rate was 92.9%(52/56)and first complete closure rate was 53.6%(30/56).Different endoscopic treatment methods and the size of anastomotic leak are the most important factors affecting the closure effect. Conclusion Endoscopic treatment of patients with anastomotic leak after colorectal cancer is safe and effective, and the endoscopic effective closure rate is 92.9%,which has certain feasibility and clinical value.Correctly grasping the applicable conditions of different endoscopic treatment methods and selecting individualized treatment methods according to the size of the leak will benefit more patients.
