Clinical Study Of Liqi Xingshui Combined With Retinal Laser In The Treatment Of Macular Edema Of Diabetic Retinopathy

Objective: To observe whether the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medical Liqi Xingshui treatment method(Xiao Chaihu Tang and Danggui Shaoyao San)combined with laser treatment of diabetic macular edema(DME)is superior to simple retinal laser photocoagulation treatment,and to provide a new reference for clinical DME treatment.Methods: A total of 58 patients(100 eyes)with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)complicated with DME were randomly divided into 2 groups,and patients in the control group(28 patients,47 eyes)only received retinal laser photocoagulation.Patients in the observation group(30 cases,53 eyes)received retinal laser photocoagulation combined with oral Xiaochaihu decoction and Danggui Shaoyaosan.Observe and compare the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)and macular foveal retinal thickness(CMT)before and after treatment between the two groups.The laboratory indexes of blood pressure,blood glucose,blood lipids,glycated hemoglobin,liver and kidney function of the observation group before and after taking the medicine were compared before and after 3 months of treatment.Results: 3 months,6 months,and 9 months after treatment,the BCVA of the two groups of patients was higher than before treatment(P <0.05),and 12 months after treatment,the BCVA of the control group was not significantly improved(P> 0.05),The BCVA of the patients in the observation group was still higher than before treatment(P <0.05).At 3 and 6 months after treatment,there was no significant difference in BCVA improvement between the two groups(P> 0.05).At 9 and 12 months after treatment,the BCVA improvement in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P <0.05);Both the control group and the control group can effectively reduce CMT(P <0.05),and the observation group is better than the control group(P <0.05).No obvious abnormalities were observed in the observation group before and after treatment,including blood pressure,blood glucose,blood lipids,glycated hemoglobin,liver and kidney function.Conclusion: The traditional Chinese medicine Liqixingshui method combined with retinal laser photocoagulation is more effective in treating DME than simple laser photocoagulation.The combined use of the two methods is conducive to improving the patient's visual function,reducing macular edema,and can effectively maintain the patient's long-term vision and reduce the risk of macular edema recurrence.No serious eye complications and systemic adverse reactions have been found.
