Objective:(1)To study the impact of diabetes and non-diabetic population with iron deficiency anemia on glycosylated hemoglobin in xining region.(2)methods: patients with iron deficiency anemia and those in latent iron deficiency condition who visited qinghai provincial people's hospital between January 1,2017 and August 25,2019 were included,as well as healthy physical examination patients with age and gender matching of the iron deficiency anemia group.Of cases as included in the standard of selection and grouping,non-diabetic population can be divided into iron deficiency anemia than non-diabetic group(NDM-IDA group)63 cases, the potential iron deficiency non-diabetic group(NDM-ID group)95 cases and non-diabetic controls(NDM-CON group)126 cases, patients with diabetes can be divided into iron deficiency anemia group(DM-IDA group)22 cases diabetes, potential iron deficiency, diabetes mellitus group(DM-ID group)34 cases, diabetes control group(DM-CON group)and 44 cases. The data of the two groups were analyzed by variance analysis. Results :(1)in the non-diabetic group, the Hb Alc in NDM-IDA group,NDM-ID group and NDM-CON group was 5.10±0.57,5.06±0.47 and 4.78±0.66%,respectively.The difference between ndm-ida group and ndm-con group was statistically significant(P < 0.05),while the difference between ndm-id group and ndm-con group was not statistically significant(P>0.05).In the diabetic population, the Hb Alc in the DM-IDA group,DM-ID group and DM-CON group were 7.56±1.99,6.67±1.32 and 6.42±1.75%,respectively.The difference between the DM-IDA group and the DM-CON group was statistically significant(P < 0.05),while the difference between the DM-IDA group and the DM-CON group was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)In non-diabetic patients in Xining,Hb Alc will be falsely increased during iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia.(2)When the diabetic population in Xining suffers with iron-deficiency anemia,Hb Alc will falsely increase. Objective: at present, the effect of iron deficiency anemia on glycosylated hemoglobin is still controversial. This study used meta-analysis to evaluate whether iron deficiency anemia can increase the level of glycosylated hemoglobin and whether the level of glycosylated hemoglobin will decrease after iron treatment in patients with iron deficiency anemia. Methods:Pub Med,The Cochrane Library,Embase,CNKI and Wan Fang Data were searched by computer, supplemented by literature review.Chinese search terms included "iron deficiency anemia","hemoglobin a1c","iron deficiency","iron therapy" and "iron supplement".The English search terms include "Iron deficiency anemia","hemoglobin a1c","Iron deficiency","Iron therapy" and "Iron supplement".The search was carried out using a combination of free words and subject words. All the articles published in the open journal from the time of the establishment of the library to June 1,2019 about the effects of iron deficiency anemia on glycated hemoglobin and iron supplementation on iron deficiency All Chinese and English literatures affected by glycated hemoglobin in patients with anemia. And manually search the latest literature in related fields in the library, relevant reports of relevant academic conferences, and references of retrieved literature. The quality of the included literature was evaluated, and meta-analysis was performed by Stata 12.0 software. Results: A total of 31 literatures were included, including 20 literatures of case-control studies(1395 cases of iron deficiency anemia group,4365 cases of healthy control group,There were 16 A-type literatures and 4 B-type literatures);and 11 cohort studies(397 cases in the experimental group and 395 cases in the control group, all were A-type literature).A meta-analysis of the case-control study showed that the total combined WMD(95% CI)was 0.66(0.44,0.88),and the combined WMD(95% CI)of the non-diabetic group and the diabetic group were 0.73(0.48,0.97)and 0.42(-0.30,1.14).The meta-analysis results of the cohort study showed that the total combined WMD(95% CI)was 0.48(0.07,0.90),and the combined WMD(95% CI)of the non-diabetic and diabetic groups were 0.38(-0.09,0.85)and 1.04(0.77,1.31).Conclusion :(1)for non-diabetic people, iron deficiency anemia can make a1 c levels falsely higher.(2)in patients with non-diabetic iron deficiency anemia, the hypocritically elevated Hb Alc did not decrease significantly after adequate iron supplementation.(3)for the diabetic population, iron deficiency anemia less affect the outcome of a1 c.(4)in patients with diabetic iron-deficiency anemia,Hb Alc decreased after adequate iron supplementation.
