Objective:1.This study tested the reliability and validity of the Knowledge: Diabetes Management scale in the translated Chinese version of the Nursing Outcome Classification(NOC)book,It provides a concise and effective assessment tool for clinical evaluation of self-management knowledge of diabetes patients in China.2."Knowledge: Diabetes Management" scale was applied to inpatients with diabetes in a tertiary first-class general hospital in Taiyuan,Shanxi Province,to understand the status of self-management knowledge,To explore the effect of the classification system of nursing outcomes on the health education of diabetic patients. It provides basis for the management of diabetes health education, continuous improvement of clinical nursing service quality, and improvement of scientific nursing procedures.Methods:1.Reliability and validity of the "Knowledge: Diabetes Management" assessment tool:The Chinese version of the "Knowledge: Diabetes Management" scale was selected in a top three hospital in Taiyuan City through the convenience sampling method from June 2019 to October 2019,Reliability and validity were evaluated in 177 patients with type 2 diabetes who met the exclusion criteria.Cronbach's coefficient was used to test the reliability of the scale;content validity index and confirmatory factor analysis were used to test the validity of the scale.2.Chinese version of "Knowledge: Diabetes Management" Assessment Tool for Diabetics:Applies general demographic questionnaires and relevant outcome indicators of the "Knowledge: Diabetes Management" scale to assess self-management knowledge at admission, and gives corresponding targeted health education measures to evaluate the same scale at discharge. The self-management knowledge and skills of patients before and after intervention were compared. To understand the current status and influencing factors of self-management knowledge of diabetic patients when they are admitted to hospital, the effect of health education and nursing measures, and evaluate the application value of the nursing outcome classification system in clinical practice.Results:1.Reliability test results: In the reliability and validity evaluation: the total Cronbach's ? coefficient is 0.787,and the Cronbach's ? coefficient of each part is 0.810 ~0.888;the CVI of all items is higher than 80%.The results of confirmatory factor analysis show that the normalized factor load of each item in the corresponding dimension is almost greater than 0.4,(Only two indicators in the field of medication are not greater than 0.4,because the understanding of insulin treatment is limited by the treatment method). All fitting indicators in the five-factor model have reached the standard, and the structural validity of the scale is good. The Chinese version of the "Knowledge: Diabetes Management" assessment tool contains 5 aspects and 25 items.2.Applied research results:The results showed that the total score of self-management knowledge of diabetic patients upon admission was 49.85 ± 6.25 points. The minimum treatment principle in each part was 1.68 points ± 0.57 points, and the highest diet and exercise were 2.21 points ± 0.43 points.Patients' scores in all aspects and the total score of self-management knowledge were higher than before intervention, with statistical differences(P <0.05).Whether they have received diabetes health education, the number of hospital admissions and monthly income, family diabetes history and educational level are the main factors affecting the self-management knowledge of diabetic patients at admission.Conclusion:1.After testing, the Chinese version of the "Knowledge: Diabetes Management" assessment tool has good reliability and concise content, which provides a scientific basis for the clinical evaluation of self-management knowledge of diabetes patients in China, and is suitable for further clinical use.2.The admission level of self-management knowledge of inpatients with diabetes in the third-level general hospitals in Taiyuan City was generally at a low or medium level.Whether they have received diabetes health education, the number of hospital admissions and monthly income, family diabetes history and educational level are the main factors affecting the self-management knowledge of diabetic patients at admission. The application of the nursing outcome classification system in the evaluation of health education for clinical diabetic patients will help improve their self-management knowledge level, provide a theoretical basis for managers to develop scientific and reasonable health education strategies for patients with diabetes, and also provide patients with a more scientific and standardized self Management behavior provides the basis.
