Objective:To investigate the correlation between fatty liver index and left ventricular hypertrophy in patients with essential hypertension. Methods:A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted on 1221 hypertensive patients aged over 18 years old and normotensive people who were treated in the outpatient and inpatient departments from January 2016 to March 2018.Patients were divided into LVH group?369 cases?and non-LVH group?852 cases?,FLI<30 group?566 cases?,30?FLI?60 group?397 cases?and FLI>60 group?258 cases?.Personal history were collected.Blood pressure, height, weight and waist circumference were measured.Fasting venous blood was collected in the morning to detect blood sugar, blood lipid, liver function.Fatty liver index?FLI?=(e0.953×loge?TG?+0.139×BMI+0.718×loge?GGT?+0.053×WC-15.745)/(1+e0.953×loge?TG?+0.139×BMI+ 0.718×loge?GGT?+0.053×WC-15.745)×100.Left ventricular structure and function were measured by echocardiography. The differences of blood pressure, biochemical parameters, cardiac color Doppler ultrasound parameters and FLI were compared among groups.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlative factors of LVMI.Multivariate linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of left ventricular hypertrophy.Result:1.Compared with non-LVH group, age,SBP,BMI,waist circumference,Glu,HbA1c,FLI in LVH group were different?P<0.05?.SBP,DBP,BMI,waist circumference,TG,TC,Glu,HbA1c and UA were higher in high FLI group?P<0.05?.2.Pearson correlation analysis was performed with LVMI as dependent variable and LVMI as Pearson correlation analysis. The results showed that.FLI?r=0.199?,age?r=0.222?,SBP?r=0.308?,DBP?r=0.095?,BMI?r=0.222?,waist circumference?r=0.280?,HbA1c?r=0.066?,Hcy?r=0.174?,UA?r=0.209?were positively and HR?r=-0.099?,TC?r=-0.122?,LDL-C?r=-0.098?,HDL-C?r=-0.119?were negatively correlated with LVMI?P<0.05?.3.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that SBP,DBP and UA were influencing factors for left ventricular hypertrophy in HT group?P<0.05?.In normotensive people group, age,HR and FLI were influencing factors for left ventricular hypertrophy?P<0.05?.4.Subgroup analysis showed that SBP,HR and FLI were influencing factors for left ventricular hypertrophy in patients with DM?P<0.05?.Subgroup analysis in normotensive population showed that FLI was included in multiple linear regression equation among people over 65 years old.Age,HR and FLI were influencing factors for left ventricular hypertrophy in patients without diabetes mellitus?P<0.05?.Conclusion:1.FLI,SBP,DBP,Hcy,UA are important influencing factors of left ventricular hypertrophy.2.For the general population,FLI is a factor influencing LVMI.3.For patients with hypertension and diabetes,FLI is an independent risk factor for left ventricular hypertrophy.
