ObjectiveThe clinical manifestations of patients with HBV/HCV co-infection are different from patients with single virus infection, and the epidemiology of HBV and HCV is constantly evolving. Our aim is to explore the main clinical features of patients with HBV/HCV co-infection in Chongqing province, and to compare their clinical features with patients with single HBV/HCV infection, and to analyze and summarize the main clinical features of HBV/HCV co-infected patients.MethodsAccording to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the clinical data from the medical data intelligent platform database of Yidu Yun Medical data Research Institute of Chongqing Medical University from January 1,2015 to December 31,2019 were divided into three groups:HBV/HCV co-infection group, single HBV infection group and single HCV infection group. The data of patients in each group were analyzed retrospectively.ResultsThe indexes of Glb,ALT,AST,TBil and FIB-4 in HBV/HCV co-infection group were significantly higher than those in single virus infection group. While The indexes of PLT,Alb and PTA were significantly lower. The HBV DNA level of HBV/HCV co-infection group(3.82±0.91log10IU/ml)was significantly lower than that of single HBV infection group(5.19±1.41 log10IU/ml)?P<0.001?.However,there was no significant difference in HCV RNA level between HBV/HCV co-infection group(5.97±1.24 log10IU/ml)and single HCV infection group(6.1±0.92log10IU/ml)?P=0.43?.The level of HBsAg,the positive rate of HBeAg and the positive rate of HBV DNA in HBV/HCV co-infection group were significantly lower than those in single HBV infection group, and the difference was statistically significant?P<0.001,P=0.004,P<0.001?.In the single HBV infection group, there was a strong positive correlation between HBsAg level and HBV DNA level?r=0.697,P<0.001?.In the HBV/HCV co-infection group, the positive correlation was weakened?r=0.476,P=0.029?.ConclusionAlthough patients with HBV/HCV co-infection showed low HBV DNA load and HBsAg levels, their liver function damage and liver fibrosis were more pronounced.
