With the development of minimally invasive devices and the maturity of technology, laparoscopic surgery is increasingly used in pediatric surgery.Laparoscopic surgery has the advantages of small local trauma, mild systemic stress response, and short hospital stay.Laparoscopic surgery requires artificial pneumoperitoneum to cause a series of physiological changes such as circulation and respiration. The anatomy and physiological characteristics of children are different from those of adults. The development of each organ is immature, causing difficulty in intraoperative management and increased postoperative complications.Especially for the widespread postoperative pulmonary complications, the lung protective ventilation strategy is particularly important. The pulmonary protective ventilation strategy is mainly composed of small tidal volume, positive end expiratory pressure, alveolar recruitment manoeuvres, fraction of inspired oxygen, and permissive hypercapnia. In this paper,we will review the lung protective ventilation strategies in pediatric laparoscopic surgery in recent years,in order to make the lungprotective ventilation strategy more widely used in pediatric laparoscopic surgery,so that more patients benefit.
