Objective:Investigate the related factors of food impaction after implantation and restoration of single posterior tooth loss.Method: From September 2018 to September 2019,48 patients who underwent implantation and fixed restoration because single posterior tooth loss were randomly collected from the Department of Stomatology,the second affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.The condition of food impaction between the implant-supported fixed dental prostheses and the adjacent teeth were evaluated by clinical assessments.The radiographic assessments were used to assess embrasure conditions between implant-supported fixed dental prostheses and adjacent teeth.Then,the relevant data were measured,the soft of spss24.0 was used to analyse the related factors in single factor analysis and in multivariate analysis.Result: Food impaction was reported in 33(68.75%)of 48 people between implant-supported fixed dental prostheses(FDPs)and adjacentteeth.There is no significant difference between mesial and distal embrasure about food impaction rate(the food impaction rate of mesial embrasure is 43.75%,the distal is 45.26%).Whatever,the proportion of maxillary food impaction(66.7%)is higher than the mandibular(42.2%,(Tab.5)),P value<0.05,which is statistically significant.The proportion of food impaction of the free-end(64.71%)is higher than the non-free-end(59.38%),P value>0.05,which is not statistically significant.The result of single factor analysis show:that isn't statistically significant,after the measurement and analysis of data.The result of multivariate analysis show :there are statistically significant between the horizontal distance 1and the embrasure surface area 1 and embrasure surface area 2 and the occurrence of food impaction(P value <0.05).The result of comparative evaluation on ROC curve graph show :ROC curve graph area at baseline 1 is larger than ROC curve graph area at baseline 2with P-value <0.05 at baseline 1 and P-value>0.05 at baseline 2,which shows that the data measured at baseline 1is more representative than the data measured at baseline 2.Conclusion:The causes of food impaction are complicated.The maxillary and mandibular,bone density,the position of dental implants in arch,horizontal distance1 and the embrasure surface area 1 and embrasure surface area 2,etc,may affect the occurrence of food impaction.In somecases,we may able to reduce the horizontal distance 1,and increase the embrasure surface area 1 and embrasure surface area 2,etc,so as to affect the occurrence of food impaction between implant-supported fixed dental prostheses(FDPs)and adjacent teeth to some extent.
