ObjectiveBreast cancer has been the most important malignant tumors that endanger women's health due to its high morbidity.Accurate early diagnosis can effectively curb its development and reduce mortality. For early-stage breast cancer which is ultrasound and palpation-double negative, calcification is the most direct sign.Meanwhile, mammography is the simplest and most effective way to find suspicious calcifications. Therefore, mammography guided percutaneous needle-wire localization and excisional biopsy is one of the most effective techniques for the clear diagnosis of latent early breast cancer. This study mainly focused on the clinical study of the mammography guided needle-wire localization and excisional biopsy technology for the diagnosis of suspicious calcification lesions in breast.Methods96 patients with suspicious breast calcifications found by mammography in the Department of Oncology,Ningxia Medical University Cancer Hospital from September 2017 to January 2019,were chosen as research subjects in this study. They were all treated with percutaneous needle-wire localization and excisional biopsy under the guidance of mammography, followed by re-imaging of the isolated tissue and rapid frozen pathological examination to determine the excisional completeness and pathological feature of calcified lesions.Using SPSS25 statistical software, the ?2 test was performed to analyze the general condition of patients and the relationship between the indicators of calcified lesions and their properties. In addition, the consistency test was also conducted to analyze the consistency of mammographic results and pathological results.ResultsThe sample in this study included 96 patients,of which 27 were malignant and 69 were benign. The Kappa value of the consistency test of mammographic results and pathological results was 0.453,P <0.05.The properties of calcified lesions were related with their types and whether they are multifocal or not(P<0.05),but were unrelated with the ages of patients and whether the patient have menopause or not.Besides, there was no significant relationship between the calcified lesions properties and their ranges(P>0.05).The calcified lesions could be accurately removed by the percutaneous needle-wire localization under the guidance by mammography, which was independent of their properties(P> 0.05).ConclusionExcisional biopsy is required when the calcifications found by mammography are clustered or multifocal,or belong to BI-RADS class 4 or higher. The mammography guided needle-wire localization and excisional biopsy technology is of great value in the precise resection of suspicious breast calcification, the identification of benign and malignant breast lesions as well as the diagnosis and treatment of early-stage breast cancer.
