Section1Objective:The purpose of this study is to analyze Homocysteine?Hcy?levels in patients with Atrophic glossitis?AG?.To further explore the relationship between homocysteine levels and gender, blood pressure,Body mass index?BMI?,age, folic acid and Vitamin B12(VitB12)in AG patients.Methods:1.The research selected 50 patients with AG who met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria of the study in the Department of Stomatology of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, and 50 healthy controls were selected to analyze the serum Hcy level of the two groups.2.50 cases of AG were divided into 24 cases of hyperhomocysteinemia group?HHcy?and 26 cases of non-homocysteinemia group?non-HHcy?according to Hcy level.General conditions and hematological indicators were compared between the two groups. The serum levels of folic acid,VitB122 and Hcy were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay?ELISA?.The measurement data were expressed as x±s,and t test was used for comparison between groups. The count data were expressed as rate/composition ratio, and the?2test was used for comparison between groups.Results:1.The serum Hcy level of 50 AG patients before treatment was 22.52±16.19,which was significantly higher than that of the control group?14.04±4.30?,and the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.2.Analysis of clinical data of HHcy group and non-HHcy group were gender?male/female?:11/13 vs 5/21,mean age:62.63±12.48 vs 59.92±13.86,hypertension:10/14 vs 4/22,BMI:20.58±0.94 vs 20.25±0.97.Among them, there were no statistically significant difference in age and BMI between the two groups?P>0.05?;there were statistically significant differences in gender and hypertension?P<0.05?.3.Analysis of blood indexes in the HHcy group and non-HHcy group were folic acid:11.35±2.32vs15.17±5.56,VitB12:157.88±47.66 vs 227.19±78.26.The differences in serum folic acid and VitB122 levels between the two groups were statistically significant?P<0.05?.Conclusion:The blood homocysteine level of AG patients was significantly increased, and the hyperhomocysteinemia of AG was associated with gender, hypertension, folic acid and VitB122 levels.Clinically,Hcy can be included in routine hematological examination.Section2Objective:To investigate the effect of mecobalamin combined with folic acid on atrophic glossitis combined with vitamin B122 deficiency and its effect on serum Hcy level,so as to provide basis for the prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.Methods:34 cases of AG patients with vitamin B122 deficiency diagnosed by stomatology department of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University were randomly divided into group A and group B with 17 persons in each group.Group B was treated with mecobalaminm, group A was treated with mecobalaminm and folic acid. The clinical effect was evaluated 4 weeks later, and the changes of serum Hcy before and after treatment in group A and B were compared 12 weeks later. The serum levels of Hcy were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay?ELISA?.The rank sum test was used to compare the clinical efficacy of the two groups;Hcy was expressed in x±s,and t test was used for comparison between groups. Results:Group A was treated with mecobalamin and folic acid, group B with mecobalamin. After 4 weeks, the clinical effective rate of group A and group B was 100%,there was no significant difference between the two groups. After 12 weeks, the serum Hcy in groups A and B was 9.77±5.00and 16.57±9.82,respectively,compared with the serum Hcy in groups A and B 27.03±19.34?25.48±17.23 before treatment, the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.After treatment, the serum Hcy of group A was9.77±5.00,which was significantly different from that of group B 16.57±9.82?P<0.05?.The decrease of Hcy level in group A before and after treatment was17.27±14.64,which was significantly higher than that in group B 8.91±7.87?P<0.05?,and the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.Conclusion:Mecobalamine or combination of folic acid can all reduce serum Hcy level in AG patients, but mecobalamin combined with folic acid can significantly reduce the blood homocysteine level of AG patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
