Objective:1.To investigate the current situation of child vaccination,evaluate the effect of “Parent Class” in Dingshu Town,Yixing City and explore the factors that influence children's vaccination in order to provide a scientific basis for the development of vaccination management program in Dingshu Town.2.To compare vaccination awareness of parents who participated or not in parent class,explore the main factors affecting the vaccination awareness and the timely rate of vaccination and provide a basis for developing appropriate interventions.3.To propose targeted measures for the forms and contents of health education for parents.Methods:The parents(participating group)who participated in the parent class and that who did not participate in the parent's class(not participating group)were the respondents of the questionnaire on the effect of parent class intervention on children's vaccination.The vaccination situation of children and the timely rate of vaccination were investigated.The questionnaire included basic information about children,knowledge about vaccination,and vaccination status of children.A total of 1916 questionnaires were completed,including 1,413 parents who participated in the parent class and 503 parents who did not participate in the class.Data was entered into Epi Data 3.1analyzed using SPSS18.0.The multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors,and the test level was ?=0.05.Results:1.The average score of vaccination knowledge of parents who participated in parent class is 4.58.The average score of vaccination knowledge of parents who did not participate in parent class is 3.25.The cognitive level of vaccination of parents participating in parental classes is higher than those who do not participate.Participation in parental classes and parental education are major factors influencing parents' knowledge scores.2.basic vaccination in the region has reached 98%.The rate of timely vaccination of children whose parents participated in parent class is higher than that whose parents did not participate.Whether to participate in parent class is one of the main factors affecting the rate of vaccination in a timely manner.Conclusions:1.The overall cognitive levels about vaccination of parents in Dingshu Town are low.Health education for vaccination knowledge should be carried out for parents with lower education levels to improve their awareness.2.The timely vaccination rate of children whose parents did not participate in the parent class is lower than that whose parents did.It is necessary to strengthen the management of children whose parents have not participated in the parental class,continuously innovate the service model,and carry out frequent leak detection and replanting work to improve the vaccination rate and timely vaccination rate of children.3.Attending parent class is one of the major influencing factors of parental cognition,vaccination behavior and,timely vaccination rate of vaccination,suggesting that it is necessary to pay attention to such forms of work,including publicizing parent class,and expanding publicity,in order to improve parent class attendance rate.4.Parental education level is one of the influencing factors of parental cognition.Parent class can be improved to implement targeted missions for different types of parents for parents.For example,migrants with low education level can carry out home-based education.Parents with high education level can make full use of new media or apps for self-learning.
