Objective: The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of pulpotomy and pulp revascularization in the treatments of children's common pulpal and periapical disease. Methods: Patients were recruited from the patients who need dental treatment in pediatric dentistry of our hospital from September 2017 to March 2019.Conduct clinical examination, make clinical diagnosis and make appropriate treatment plan.Four typical cases were selected for display. In case 1,deep caries in primary molar was treated with pulpotomy, and metal crown was performed one week after surgery. In case 2,partial vital pulpotomy were taken on immature permanent teeth with pulp exposure due to crown fracture, and tooth fragment was reattached immediately. In case 3 and 4,pulp revascularization were taken on immature permanent teeth with periapical diseases. After the treatment, patients were followed up regularly to evaluate the efficacy of the therapies. Results: In case 1,the root pulp with normal activity was retained, which was conducive to the preservation of the affected tooth and the normal replacement of the tooth. After treatment, the noamal chewing function of the affected tooth was restored, and no symptoms such as pulpitis or periapical inflammation were observed postoperatively. In case 2,good aesthetic function and partial chewing function of the affected tooth were restored after treatment.Postoperative symptoms such as pulpitis or periapical periodontitis were not observed.Imaging examination showed that the tooth root continued to develop and the apical foramen was narrowed. In case 3 and 4,after treatment, the clinical symptoms disappeared, and the imaging examination showed that the low-density image around the root tip disappeared, the root canal wall thickened, the root length increased, and the apical foramen was narrowed. All the 4 cases were successfully treated, and the patients were followed up with satisfactory short-term efficacy. Conclusion: The application of pulpotomy and pulp revascularization in the treatments of children's common pulpal and periapical disease can achieve satisfactory clinical efficacy.
