Objective: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors of the different type of autoimmune liver diseases(ALD).Methods: According to the diagnosis, patients were divided into four groups: autoimmune hepatitis(AIH),primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC),primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSC),immunoglobulin G4-related sclerosing cholangitis(ISC)and AIH-PBC overlapping syndrome(OS).The PSC group with only one patient was exculeded. The differences of gender, age, personal history, oncomitant diseases and serum biochemical and immunological indicators in each group were analyzed retrospectively.Results:(1)The average age of onset in AIH,PBC,and OS groups were(53.29? 12.43)years old,(62.91? 11.61)years old,and(63.05? 11.40)years old,the difference among the groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).The genetic family history was statistically significant among the groups(P<0.05).(2)The positive rates of anti mitochondrial antibody M2 in AIH,PBC and OS groups were 23.2%,52.8% and 70.5%,respectively,with statistical significance(P<0.01).Aspartate aminotransferase(P<0.01)and cholinesterase(P<0.05)were statistically significant between AIH and PBCgroups. There were significant differences in aspartate aminotransferase(P<0.05),cholinesterase(P<0.05)and alkaline phosphatase(P<0.05)among the three groups.Smoking, drinking, gender, medication history, clinical symptoms,Epstein-Barr virus and cytomegalovirus infection, and humoral immunity were not statistically different among the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: AIH is the most common type of ALD.AIH has a youngest onset in all types of ALD,and different types of ALD have different genetic correlation.Aspartate aminotransferase and cholinesterase were particularly elevated in AIH,and cholinesterase was more prominent in PBC.The positive rate of anti-mitochondrial antibody M2 type is highest in overlap syndrome. As the risk factors, smoking, gender, drinking, medication history,Epstein-Barr virus and cytomegalovirus infection have limited significance in the group identification of ALD.
