Objective:To explore the correlation between negative life events and the level of cytokines in peripheral blood of adolescent depression.Method : 60 adolescent depression patients and 51 normal control adolescents were included in this study. The depression degree of all subjects was assessed by Beck Depression Inventory(BDI),the scores of all dimensions of negative life events were assessed by Adolescent Negative Life Event Scale(ASLEC),and the peripheral serum cytokines(IL-1??IL-4?IL-6?IL-8?IL-10?TNF-??IFN-?)were tested by flow cytometry.Result:Compared with the control group, the scores of BDI,IL-6,IL-8 and life events in the depression group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).IL-6,IL-8 were positively correlated with BDI(r=0.389,P<0.01;r=0.335,P<0.01).IL-6 was positively correlated with interpersonal relationship and learning pressure(r=0.228,P< 0.01;r=0.346,P<0.01).IL-8 was positively correlated with interpersonal relationship, learning pressure and loss(r=0.305,P<0.01;r=0.293,P<0.05;r=0.320,P<0.01).Conclusion:There exists activation of immune system in adolescent depression patients.Interpersonal relationship, learning pressure and loss have pro-inflammatory effects to this activation.
