Objective: To study the language ability of children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD)and specific language disorder(SLI)and evaluate whether they have differences in language development,so as to further differential diagnosis and try to make clear the diagnosis. Methods: The information of children who came to the pediatrics department for treatment due to language or non-verbal communication disorders was extracted, and 353 children who were tested with the early language development process scale were screened out. Then according to the results of whether their clinical manifestations conform to the ASD diagnostic standard(dsm-5)of the American Manual of diagnosis and statistics for mental disorders, and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale(ADOS),they were divided into three groups:(1)ASD clinical diagnosis The patients in the ASD diagnosis group(79)and the SLI group(106).The age of treatment, the score of early language development process scale and general clinical data were collected, and then their language ability scores were transformed into corresponding language development quotients, and then the three groups of data were statistically analyzed by SPSS17.0 statistical software.Result:(1)Comparison of the age of treatment in three groups: there was no statistical difference between ASD clinical diagnosis group and ASDdiagnosis group(P > 0.05),but there was statistical difference between the two groups and SLI group(P < 0.05).(2)Comparison of total language development quotient of the three groups: the scores of language development quotient of the three groups were lower than that of the normal children. There was no statistical difference between ASD clinical diagnosis group and ASD diagnosis group(P > 0.05),but there was statistical significance between the three groups and SLI group(P < 0.05).(3)Comparison of language development quotients among the three groups: statistical comparison of speech and language expression ability, auditory perception and understanding ability and visual related understanding and expression ability between ASD clinical diagnosis group,ASD diagnosis group and SLI group, among which the most significant difference is visual related understanding and expression ability, and the least difference is voice and language expression ability. Conclusion: the age of patients with ASD is higher than that of children with SLI,and the ability of voice and language expression, auditory perception and understanding, and the ability of understanding and expression related to vision are all lower than those of children with SLI,especially the ability of understanding and expression related to vision, which is consistent with the previous studies that show that children with ASD and children with SLI have different language development tracks. The ability of understanding and expression related to vision is a unique ability in the early stage of children's language development. If we can recognize it in the early stage of language development, and further carry out relevant diagnosis and intervention treatment,it will help to improve the effective communication ability of children in the future.
