Depression is a common disease in modern society.According to data released by the World Health Organization in 2017,the number of people with depression worldwide has reached 322 million,accounting for about 4.4% of the global population.From 2005 to 2015,in this decade,the number of patients increased by 18.4%.Depression has become the fourth burden disease in the world and the second burden disease in China.However,the current public awareness of mental health is very low,and there are many misunderstandings about depression.These factors make the public have a very negative attitude towards depression,which is extremely detrimental to the prevention of depression.Shame and stigma remain the main obstacles to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with depression and other mental disorders.At this time,the media as a channel for people to obtain consultation and news,the construction of depression discourse and the dissemination of health information related to depression Vital.In this study,the Chinese media in the Wise News database(Wise News)from January 1,2000 to December 31,2018 news reports on depression issues were selected by equidistant sampling.A total of 545 reports were drawn.These reports contained a total of 294 patient-related cases.Based on content analysis of relevant samples,this study used text analysis as a corresponding supplement to discover depression reports and the rules of depression patients.And play a role in letting the society understand and understand depression and prevent depression.The study found that the content of the topics is more diverse,and the sources of the news are more inclined to scholars and doctors.The types of reports are mainly news reports,and the layout of the reports is different.And the phase characteristics are more obvious.The first phase(2000-2004)focuses on the popularization of knowledge,and the patient cases are scarce;the second phase(2005-2009)celebrities emerge,and the patients are becoming more diverse;By 2014)government officials have highlighted that the case has reached its peak;the fourth stage(2015 to 2018): the report has been greatly reduced,and the knowledge of the case is equally important.
