Research Background and Objective: As the second leading cause of death associated with non-communicable diseases in the world, tumor has a great influence on global health. In China, cancer has become the leading cause of death since 2010[1].Due to the constant progress of the society, changes in living habits and surrounding environment,as well as the great changes in dietary structure, the incidence of colorectal cancer tends to increase year by year.Among patients with colorectal cancer, the incidence of youth colorectal cancer is gradually higher than that of non-youth colorectal cancer.Youth colorectal cancer has low early diagnosis rates, special pathological types and poor prognosis,so it is necessary to carry out more research on the diagnosis and treatment of youth colorectal cancer,so as to summarize relevant experience and improve the curative effect of youth colorectal cancer. Methods By collecting 50 patients with youth colorectal cancer and 80 patients with non-youth colorectal cancer, who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University from January 2012 to January 2018,the author developed inclusion criteria for two groups respectively for the inclusion of subjects, collected relevant baseline data, clinical data and pathological data and used SPSS to carry out a statistical analysis. The enumeration data were recorded in the form of N(%).The enumeration indexes of two groups were compared using a chi-square test(if necessary, supplemented with Fisher's exact test for the direct calculation of P value).A significance level of 0.05 was adopted. If P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant. Results 1.A total of 50 patients aged from 21 to 39 years old, with an average age of 33.32,were included in the youth colorectal cancer group.A total of 80 patients aged from 40 to 89 years old, with an average age of 63.925,were included in the non-youth colorectal cancer group.2.The first diagnosed symptoms of youth colorectal cancer and non-youth colorectal cancer can be classified into 7 categories. The main symptoms of both groups were changes in stool, abdominal pain and hematochezia. For patients in the youth colorectal cancer group, changes in stool accounted for 16%,abdominal pain for 46% and hematochezia for 24%.For patients in the non-youth colorectal cancer group, changes in stool accounted for 23.75%,abdominal pain for 43.75% and hematocheesis for 20%.3.41 patients in the youth colorectal cancer group received radical therapy and 6 patients received palliative therapy. The recovery rate of radical surgery was 82%.73 patients in the non-youth colorectal cancer group received radical therapy and 7 patients received palliative therapy. The recovery rate of radical surgery was 91.25%.4.Among patients with youth colorectal cancer,14 patients had a cancer in the right hemicolon, accounting for 28%.8 patients had a cancer in the left hemicolon, accounting for 16%.7 patients had a cancer in the sigmoid colon, accounting for 14%.21 patients had a cancer in the rectum, accounting for 42%.Among patients with non-youth colorectal cancer,32 patients had a cancer in the right hemicolon, accounting for 40%.12 patients had a cancer in the left hemicolon, accounting for 15%.10 patients had a cancer in the sigmoid colon, accounting for 12.5%.26 patients had a cancer in the rectum, accounting for 32.5%.5.For the youth colorectal cancer group and the non-youth colorectal cancer group, the degree of tumor differentiation was dominated by moderate differentiation. In the youth colorectal cancer group,27 patients(65.9%)had moderately differentiated tumors,7 patients(17.0%)had moderately-poorly differentiated tumors,6 patients(14.6%)had poorly differentiated tumors, and 1 patient(2.5%)had well-differentiated tumors. In the non-youth colorectal cancer group,55 patients(71.4%)had moderately differentiated tumors,14 patients(18.2%)had moderately-poorly differentiated tumors,6 patients(7.8%)had poorly differentiated tumors and 2 patient(2.6%)had well-differentiated tumors.6.In the youth colorectal cancer group,34.7% patients were diagnosed with Dukes A,22.4% with Dukes B,30.6% with Dukes C and 12.3% with Dukes D.In the non-youth colorectal cancer group,42.5% patients were diagnosed with Dukes A,26.3% with Dukes B,16.2% with Dukes C and 15.0% with Dukes D.Conclusion1.The number of young colorectal cancers diagnosed and treated by colonoscopy was higher than that of non-young colorectal cancers.2.The most common site of young colorectal cancer is the sigmoid colon and rectum.3.Young patients with colorectal cancer were diagnosed at a later tumor stage, more inclined to Dukes C/D stage, which is phase ? or ?,with a poor prognosis.4.The malignant degree of young colorectal cancer patients was higher than that of nonyoung colorectal cancer patients.5.In young colorectal cancer patients, the final pathologic pattern and tumor pathologic type were independent factors.
