Cervical cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in women. The current standard treatment for locally advanced cervical cancer(FIGO stage?IB2)is radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy.Among them, radiotherapy is an important clinical treatment method in the comprehensive treatment of cervical cancer, which is of great significance for improving the overall survival rate of patients, reducing the local recurrence rate and distant metastasis rate. However, while improving clinical efficacy, radiotherapy may also cause various adverse events that are difficult to reverse. These adverse events not only affect the treatment effect of cervical cancer patients, but also have a serious impact on the patients' quality of life later. As the surrounding tissue structure of cervical cancer radiotherapy, there are more clinical studies on radiation bladder injury and radiation rectal injury, but less attention is paid to radiation therapy-induced vaginal injury and its impact on sexual quality of life.In radiotherapy, the vagina is the target organ for radiotherapy, especially the upper part of the vagina needs to be irradiated with a higher dose, which increases the risk of injury after radiotherapy.Among cervical cancer patients, most of them are young or middle-aged women. If they are exposed to the side effects of vaginal injury for a long time, the quality of life of patients will be reduced, and their physical and mental health will be seriously damaged. Therefore, this article will summarize the research related to radioactive vaginal adverse reactions in recent years.
