Aim: Proof of the risk between H pylori infection and colon or rectal superfluous formation is inconsistent. Therefore,a systematic evaluation was conducted to explore this relationship and whether there is a correlation. Methods: All relevant literature from 2000 to November 11,2019 was searched by computer from the PubMed database, and Meta-analysis was performed on eligible literature on HP infection and colorectal superfluities citing Revman software(version 5.3),and the OR and 95% CI of each result were combined for the geographic region(Asia,Europe,America)and different H.pylori assays. Results: There are totally 19 articles were selected in the literature, with 51069 cased included in the whole part,of which 23870 were confirmed for the infected and 27199 were negative for H.pylori.Including 14,276 patients with confirmed colon and rectal superfluities. As a result,H.pylori infection has a strong interrelationship with the risk of colorectal superfluous organisms(OR=1.65,95%Cl 1.30-2.08,I2=95%),and there was strong difference between each studies. The correlation of serological test results(OR=1.55,95% CI 1.12-2.13)was lower than that of urea breath test results(OR=2.05,95% CI 0.96-4.38),but the range of error of urea breath test results was higher, which was related to the highernumber of false negatives in the test method. Conclusion: A strong connection is found between the H.pylori infected patient with the occurrence of colon and rectal superfluities.
