Objective: To observe the clinical effect of wall squatting training combined with acupuncture in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. In order to provide the clinical evidence for the optimization of the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods: One hundred patients with knee osteoarthritis who visit Xiamen TCM Hospital affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to December 2019 were randomly divided into test group in 50 cases and control group in 49 cases in the experimental group and 50 cases in the control group. Both groups were given oral glucosamine hydrochloride capsule and acupuncture treatment for 6 weeks;the experimental group guided the patients' squatting training on the basis of the control group for12 weeks, also the liver and kidney function and adverse reactions should be monitored before and after treatment.Results:(1)During the treatment, one cases of shedding(out of contact),two cases were eliminated(failure to insist on squat training according to the test plan),and one case of abscission occurred in the control group(poor curative effect,self-exit);(2)There was no significant difference between the two groups in the baseline data of gender, age,BMI,knee distribution and course of disease(P>0.05);(3)After 6 weeks of therapy, both groups could significantly improve the WOMAC scores and 50-meter walking time(P<0.05),the improvement of pain, function score and 50-meter walking time in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference in stiffness score and quadriceps atrophy(P<0.05);(4)After 12 weeks of therapy, the WOMAC score and 50-meter walking time in the experimental group were significantly improved compared with those after 6 weeks of therapy(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the control group(P<0.05);After 12 weeks of therapy, the quadriceps atrophy in the control group was significantly higher than that in the test group(P<0.05);(5)In this study, the total effective rate was 93.62% in the experimental group and 71.43% in the control group, while The curative effect in the experimental group was significant better than that in the control proup(P<0.05);(6)During the study, there was no halo needle, curved needle, broken needle, subcutaneous hematoma phenomenon in both groups,no obvious adverse reactions, and no obvious abnormal liver and kidney function after treatment. Conclusion: Static squatting training combined with acupuncture is safe and effective in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, which can significantly improve the pain, stiffness and joint function of patients, effectively prevent progressive atrophy of quadriceps femoris, improve the walking function of patients, with better short-term effect.
