Objective:By observing the clinical effect of South Shaolin chiropractic manipulation combined with spinal orthopedic braces in the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, the aim is to provide a reference for the conservative treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Methods: In strict accordance with the inclusion criteria,30 cases of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis diagnosed in the orthopaedic clinic of Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to December 2019 were selected. They were randomly divided into the experimental group(15 cases were treated with South Shaolin chiropractic technique combined with spinal orthopedic brace)and the control group(15 cases were treated with pure spinal orthopedic brace). The total course of treatment was 6 months.Statistical analysis was made to evaluate the clinical efficacy of South Shaolin chiropractic technique combined with spinal orthopedic brace in the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.(1)comparing the general data(including age, sex, sitting height, height and weight)and initial observation values of the control group and the test group respectively, there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).(2)The full-length anteroposterior X-ray films and pelvic anteroposterior X-ray films of AIS patients before treatment,3 months after treatment and 6 months after treatment were taken respectively, and Cobb angle and AVR grade of patients in corresponding time period were recorded to evaluate the correction of scoliosis of patients.(3)All patients were scored with VAS scores before treatment,3 months after treatment and 6 months after treatment. All the data obtained were analyzed using SPSS25.0 statistical software. If the measurement data conformed to the normal distribution, the t test was used, and if it did not conform to the normal distribution, the rank sum test was used;the rank data used the rank sum test.Results:Finally,29 patients completed the 6 months follow-up of this subject, and 1 patient in the control group was rejected because of poor compliance. The results were not included in the statistical analysis.(1)In terms of Cobb angle: the results obtained after 3 months of treatment and 6 months of treatment in both groups were reduced compared with before treatment, and the Cobb angle was reduced and the experimental group was better than the control group.Statistical difference(P<0.05).(2)AVR grading:Compared with before treatment, the AVR grading of the two groups of patients improved after the treatment and the experimental group improved significantly compared with the control group. After 3 months, there was no statistical difference between the two groups of patients and between groups(P>0.05);after 6 months of treatment, there were statistical differences between the two groups within and between groups(P<0.05).(3)In terms of VAS score: Although compared with before treatment, the VAS scores of both groups of patients decreased after treatment, because the VAS scores of the two groups of subjects in this study were lower(between 1.8and 3.0),the pain level was lighter Therefore, the data obtained has a large error, and subjective factors such as different pain thresholds and pain sensitivity cannot be excluded. Therefore, the VAS scores of the two groups are not statistically different.(4)Efficacy evaluation statistics: 4 people in the control group improved and 10 were stable;10 people in the test group improved and 5 were stable;there were no cases of cure, progress or failure in both groups,so the overall efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion:.South Shaolin spinal manipulation combined with spinal orthopedic brace treatment can effectively improve the Cobb angle and AVR classification of AIS patients, and its curative effect is better than that of the treatment scheme of simply wearing spinal orthopedic brace, but the clinical curative effect in relieving lumbar and back pain of AIS patients still needs to be researched.
