Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To investigate the effect of Strengthening Bones and Promoting Blood Circulation Decoction combined with PVP for postmenopausal osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, and to explore the effect of Strengthening bones and promoting blood circulation decoction on the improvement of human symptoms and bone metabolism in the early and medium-term,so as to provide clinical evidence for the adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF).Methods:All 60 middle-aged and elderly postmenopausal women who underwent percutaneous vertebroplasty in our department were divided into kidney deficiency and blood stasis type according to syndrome differentiation from February 2019 to December 2019.They were selected for prospective clinical observation.According to the method of drawing lots, all patients were divided into two groups and 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with vertebroplasty plus regular treatment(symptomatic treatment + calcitriol)plus Strengthening bones and promoting blood circulation decoction. The control group was treated with vertebroplasty plus regular treatment(symptomatic treatment + calcitriol). The VAS score,ODI score and the level of bone alkaline phosphatase(BALP),blood calcium and phosphorus of the two groups were recorded before and 1 week after treatment and 3 months after treatment.Results:1.Comparison of baseline data: there were no significant differences in preoperative age, weight, bone mineral density, number of pathogenic segments,VAS score,ODI dysfunction index, and the level of BALP,serum calcium and blood phosphorus in both groups(P>0.05).2.Analysis of VAS score and ODI score within group: compared with the previous observation point, the VAS score of the two groups before treatment,1 week after treatment and 3 months after treatment in the latter observation point were significantly improved(P<0.05).Analysis of VAS score and ODI score between groups: compared with the control group, the VAS score and ODI score in the observation group 1 week after treatment and 3months after treatment were significantly improved(P<0.05).3.Comparison of BALP level within group: there was no significant difference before and1 week after treatment in both groups(P>0.05).Compared with the 1 week after treatment, the BALP level in the 3 months after treatment was significant improved(P<0.05).Comparison of BALP level between groups: there was no significant difference 1 week after treatment between the two groups.Compared with the control group, the BALP level in the observation group was significant improved(P<0.05).4.Analysis of blood calcium level within group: there was no significant difference before and 1 week after treatment in both groups(P>0.05).Compared with the 1 week after treatment, the blood calcium level in the 3 months after treatment was significant improved(P<0.05).Analysis of blood calcium level between groups: there was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment 1 week and 3 months after treatment(P>0.05).5.Analysis of blood phosphorus level within group: there was no significant difference between the previous observation point and the latter observation point before and 1 weekafter treatment and 3months after treatment(P>0.05).Analysis of blood phosphorus level between groups: there was no significant difference between the two groups 1 week after treatment and 3months after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of Strengthening bones and promoting blood circulation decoction combined with PVP for postmenopausal OVCF can not only improve the clinical symptoms and organism function, but also can improve activity of osteoblasts in the short and medium-term,improve postoperative residual pain and improve patients’ quality of life.
