Objectives:By collecting the CBCT imaging data of patients who came to our hospital for clinical treatment in the department of implant, the risk anatomical factors related to lateral wall sinus floor elevation surgery were studied, including the thickness of the sinus lateral wall, the alveolar antral artery, angle A and sinus septa, and the general characteristics of these anatomical structures were obtained for the reference of clinicians. Methods:Forty clinical patients were collected according to the inclusion criteria. Each patient was photographed with New Tom3 G unit for CBCT images, and the data were processed with Greenland software. The thickness of the sinus lateral wall, the diameter, position and height of the alveolar antral artery, the angle A,and septa were measured and statistically analyzed in the software according to the fixed site of the tooth position. Results:The maximum thickness of the sinus lateral wall was 2.83±1.55 mm at the 3mm height of the upper right second premolar, and the minimum was 1.33±0.67 mm at the 10 mm height of the upper right second premolar. The thickness of the sinus lateral wall was different at the same tooth position but at different heights. The higher the sinus wall, the thinner it was. There was also a statistical difference at the same height of different tooth positions. The detection rate of left alveolar antral artery was 90% and that of right side was 92.5%.The diameter of the alveolar antral artery is between 1.03-1.30 mm,the maximum and minimum vertical distance of the artery from the sinus floor is 9.23 mm and 7.69 mm respectively, the maximum and minimum vertical distance from the alveolar crest is 20.34 mm and 18.21 mm respectively. The endo-osseous and endo-sinus types accounted for 98.34% of the arteries. The mean value of angle A at each tooth position is greater than 60°,and the maximum value is 142°.The detection rate of septa was 10%.Conclusions:1.The analysis of this study found that the anterior wall of the maxillary sinus was the thickest at 3mm from the sinus floor, and the proximal wall was thicker than the distal wall, which could guide the surgical approach.2.The CBCT detection rate of maxillary sinus artery can meet the clinical needs. The diameter is generally less than 2mm.3.The maxillary sinus cavity is generally wider, but mostly of flat sinus floor, with an interval detection rate of 10%.
