Objective: To explore the effect of 131I treatment after surgery on the function of parathyroid in differentiated thyroid carcinoma. Methods: A total of 44 patients who underwent total thyroidectomy and lymphadenectomy in the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from 2016 to 2019 were selected.Patients were tested for serum parathyroid hormone and serum calcium levels before 131I treatment,1month,3 months, and 6 months after administration, and observe their changes.Patients were divided into male and female groups according to gender, and were divided into two groups,<55 years old and ?55 years old according to age. Results: 1 Serum PTH measurements after 131I were all higher than before treatment.Comparing the measured values before and after treatment, the differences were statistically significant?P <0.05?.2 Serum Ca2+ measurement fluctuated up and down after 131I treatment. There was no significant difference in the measured values before and after treatment?P>0.05?.3Patients of different sex groups 3.1The serum PTH levels in patients of different sex groups after 131I treatment were higher than before treatment. There was no significant difference in serum PTH levels between patients of different genders before and after 131I treatment?P>0.05?.3.2There was no significant statistical difference in serum Ca2+ measurements between different genders before 131I treatment,at the first month and the third month after treatment?P>0.05?.Comparing serum Ca2+ levels at the sixth months after 131I treatment,it was found that the female group had lower levels than the male group, and the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.4Patients in different age groups 4.1There was no significant difference in serum PTH levels between patients of different age groups before and after 131I treatment?P>0.05?.4.2There was no significant difference in serum Ca2+ levels between different age groups before and after 131I treatment?P>0.05?.Conclusion:1.Postoperative 131I treatment after surgery in differentiated thyroid carcinoma will not have a significant effect on patients' parathyroid function, and it has nothing to do with the patient's gender and age.2.The changes in serum Ca2+ levels before 131I treatment, the first month and the third month after treatment were not significantly different between different genders, and at the sixth month after 131I treatment women had lower serum Ca2+ levels than men.
