Objective: To investigate the incidence rate and risk factors of multiple myeloma complicated with secondary primary malignancy. Methods: A case of multiple myeloma complicated with gastric cancer was reported. Results: Gastric cancer complicated with multiple myeloma is rare in clinical work. The clinical symptoms of multiple myeloma combined with gastric cancer are relatively hidden, which are easy to be neglected. Therefore,it is necessary to be alert to the occurrence of secondary primary malignancy while assessing the disease status of multiple myeloma.Especially when digestive symptoms(such as abdominal pain, bleeding, nausea, vomiting, constipation, etc.)appear during the treatment of multiple myeloma, the occurrence of gastrointestinal tumors should be highly vigilant. Conclusions: The incidence rate of multiple myeloma complicated with secondary primary malignancy is low.It has an upward trend in recent years, which may be related to the prolongation of the survival time. There is a certain correlation between multiple myeloma and the occurrence of the secondary primary malignancy, but the mechanism is not clear.Because of the overlapping of chemotherapy-related side effects and the symptoms of the secondary primary malignancy, active screening in the treatment process can improve the quality of life of patients.
