Objective: To investigate the risk factors and prevalence of fungal infection in the superficial part of the foot of 321 patients with type 2 diabetes in shijiazhuang and the relationship between fungal infection in the superficial part of the foot and diabetic foot.Methods: Through questionnaire survey,this study refer to chart the way the object of study on the general situation,living habits,family history,diabetes,and complications such as the collection of information,assessment of foot skin is dry,the object of study of foot skin fung us microscopy with a chip,through statistical software processing data,the related results are obtained.Results: The prevalence of fungal infection in the superficial foot of 321 patients with type 2 diabetes was 42.67%,46% in male patients with type 2 diabetes and 37.2% in female patients with type 2 diabetes(P > 0.05).There were significant differences in age,occupation,education level,exercise level,skin drying degree,blood vessel injury and nerve injury in the patients with type 2 diabetes compared with the group without superficial fungal infection(P < 0.05).Further Logistic regression analysis showed that increased age,educational level and dry skin were independent risk factors for fungal infection of superficial feet.Fungal infection of the superficial foot is not a risk factor for diabetic foot in type 2 diabetes.Conclusions: The incidence of fungal infection in the superficial foot of type 2 diabetic patients in shijiazhuang was positively correlated with age,educational level and degree of dry skin.Fungal infection of the superficial foot is not a risk factor for diabetic foot prevalence.It is particularly important to pay attention to the foot care of elderly patients to reduce the fungus infection in the superficial part of the foot of patients with type 2 diabetes.
