Clinical Observation On External Application Of Xiangmu Huoxue Powder In The Treatment Of (Benign) Thyroid Nodule

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect and safety of external application of Xiangmu Huoxue powder in the treatment of(benign)thyroid nodules,and to preliminarily discuss and elaborate the efficacy and drug analysis of external treatment of(benign)thyroid nodules with Xiangmu huoxue powder,so as to provide a convenient,safe,simple and effective method for patients with(benign)thyroid nodules.MethodsA total of 66 patients with thyroid nodules who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into Xiangmu Huoxue powder and Lifestyle intervention group,with 33 patients in each group.Both two groups were given lifestyle intervention(health education,daily exercise,diet control and psychological counseling,etc.).On this basis,Experimental group: lifestyle intervention with external application of Xiangmu Huoxue powder(with warm water);Control group: Lifestyle intervention only.After 12 weeks of observation,the changes of the safety index,curative index and TCM syndrome score of the two groups of patients were recorded,and SPSS26.0software was applied for statistical analysis.Results(1)A total of 66 patients were collected in the study.During the experiment,one patient fell out and one patient was removed.Finally,64 patients were included in the two groups in total,including 32 cases in the Experimental group and 32 cases in the Control group.(2)General data evaluation: There were no statistically significant differences in general data(gender,age,course of disease,etc.)between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),indicating comparability.(3)TCM Syndrome Score and Efficacy Evaluation: there was no statistical difference of TCM syndrome scores before treatment between theExperimental group and Control group(P>0.05),suggesting comparability.The total effective rate of Experimental group was 90.63%,and that of Control group was 37.50%.Compared with the two groups,Experimental group was significantly better than Control group,with significant statistical difference(P<0.01).(4)Efficacy evaluation of thyroid maximum nodule diameter: There was no statistical difference between the Experimental group and the Control group in the maximum nodule diameter before treatment(P>0.05),which was comparable.There was a statistically significant difference in the diameter of the largest nodule between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01).There was a statistically significant difference in the diameter difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).The total effective rate of Experimental group was 71.88% and that of Control group was 25.00%.(5)The evaluation of the thyroid function,thyroid autoimmune antibody,and safety index:there is no statistic difference in thyroid function(TSH,FT3,FT4),thyroid autoimmune antibodies(Tg Ab,Anti-TPO),liver function(ALT,AST)and renal function(SCr,BUN),blood routine,stool routine,urine routine,electrocardiogram(ECG)compared with before treatment between two groups(P>0.05).And in Experimental group,there was one case of mild adverse reactions,manifested as mild skin itching,and the total adverse reactions rate was 3.1%.And Control group had no case with adverse reactions.Research conclusionsThe external application of Xiangmu Huoxue powder in the treatment of thyroid nodules can improve the symptoms and signs of patients,reduce the size of the nodules,and is safe and reliable,simple to operate,worthy of clinical use,promotion and further in-depth research.
