Objective: To explore the effect of marital status and interaction with social activities and life events on cognition?Methods: 1.A questionnaire survey was conducted on the elderly over 60 years old in four provinces and cities of Hebei Province,and Mild cognitive impairment groups and normal control groups were selected among 2690 qualified subjects filled in the questionnaire?A questionnaire included general demographic data,life events,marital status,social activities and MMSE assessments;2.t2 test was used to observe the MMSE scores of marriage group and marriage control group,and chi-square test was used to observe the distribution of population?calculate the spearman correlation coefficient between cognition(whether it is MCI)and each factor?logistic regression was used to observe the cognitive differences of marital status in two groups,and the correlation between the interaction of marital status * social activities * life events and cognition,observing the influence of gender and marital status on cognition?Results: 1.Married elderly with partner had better cognitive preservation(P=0.000<0.01);2.The more life events,the more likely to cause cognitive impairment(P=0.000<0.01)?The cognitive effects of marital status * social activities * life events interaction were significant(P=0.000<0.01);3.Older men who are married and live with their spouse have better cognition than older women who are married and live with their spouse(model 3 P=0.03<0.05)?Widowed elderly women had better cognition than widowed older men(model 1 P=0.090<0.1;model 2 P=0.093<0.1)?Of older men,married and living with a spouse had better cognitive outcomes than widowed(models 1,2 P=0.000<0.01,model 3 P=0.070<0.1)?Of older women,married and living with a spouse had better cognitive outcomes than widowed(model 1 P=0.005<0.01;model 2 P = 0.000<0.01)?
