Objective: To investigate Clinical effect of simple self-made skin stretching device on skin defect.Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the data of 13 patients with skin defects treated with self-made skin stretching device from 2015 to 2019,including 11 males and 2 females aged 9-73 years with an average age of 42 years.The skin defect area was about 6×3cm~ 32×7cm.Routine preoperative preparation,complete debridement under anesthesia,Kirschner needle was injected 1.0~1.5cm from the wound surface,simple skin stretcher was installed,and the traction tension was gradually increased and the wound surface was reduced.After the operation,the traction tension was adjusted according to the patient's tolerance and blood supply at the skin margin.After the skin margin was fitted,the intermittent suture was performed.Result: In 11 of the 13 patients,simple skin stretching device was used to close the wound directly.The skin defect area of the forearm of one patient was too large,and the wound was narrowed after the use of distractor and closed by skin grafting.One patient developed wound infection,Kirschner needle was cut out,and traction failed.After that,skin grafting was used to close the wound surface.The patients in this group were followed up for 4-24 months(mean 11.5 months),the wound healed well,there was no necrosis at the skin margin,the skin around the wound felt normal and the elasticity was normal.Conclusions: It is a simple,economical and effective method to treat skin defect with simple self-made skin stretching device.
