OBJECTIVE:In order to explore the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine combined with auricular acupressure on pediatric chronic rhinosinusitis with lung and spleen Qi deficiency. This project used a randomized controlled clinical study, comparing Shenlingbaizhusan combined with auricular acupressure and pure Shenlingbaizhusan as the control. To observe the clinical effect of the two groups of intervention methods on the treatment of pediatric chronic rhinosinusitis with lung and spleen Qi deficiency,in order to explore the therapeutic advantage of the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and external treatment in the treatment of pediatric chronic rhinosinusitis, and to provide the basis for clinical application of the method. Methods:From August 2019 to January 2020,a total of 60 children aged 6 to 14 were selected from the outpatient department of Otolaryngology,Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of traditional Chinese medicine. The patients were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group(shenlingbaizhusan combined with auricular acupressure)and the control group(shenlingbaizhusan only). The observation time was four weeks. After treatment, the data of the two groups were statistically processed. Results: Sixty eligible subjects were included in the trial,30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group. Two patients each fell off during the study.1.After 28 days of treatment,in the experimental group,9 cases were cured,15 cases were markedly effective,2 cases were effective,2 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 92.9%;in the control group,4 cases were cured,14 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were effective, and 3 cases were ineffective. The efficiency is 89.3%.After statistical analysis,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant,it means that the effect of the experimental group is better than the control group.2.There were no clinical adverse events in the experimental group and the control group during the experimental study period. Conclusion: 1.Shenlingbaizhusan combined with auricularacupressure and pure Shenlingbaizhusan are both effective in treating the pediatric chronic rhinosinusitis with lung and spleen Qi deficiency.2.The therapeutic effect of Shenlingbaizhusan combined with auricular acupressure is better than that of Shenlingbaizhusan alone.3.No obvious side effects and adverse reactions were found in the two groups of children in the course of treatment, indicating that the combination of Shenlingbaizhusan and auricular acupressure can be used in the clinical treatment of pediatric chronic rhinosinusitis with lung and spleen Qi deficiency.
