Objective Most of the patients with thoracic surgery for lung cancer patients, their preoperative anxiety and depression were significantly.Because of the areas of incision in intercostals, patients have generally high postoperative pain and incidence of agitation.More effective perioperative treatment measures are needed to reduce the bad influence of patients with thoracic surgery. The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of music on postoperative agitation in patients underwent thoracic surgery. Methods Eighty patients?ASA grade?-??who underwent elective thoracic surgery in our hospital from November 2018 to April 2019 were selected and randomly divided into usual care group?control group?and music group?experimental group?.Experimental group patients were presented with music therapy for 60?90 min on the day before surgery, that is a process that patients was implanted into hypnotic suggestions in the background of the music. Before anesthesia, audio broadcast music and music therapists strengthen suggestions for patients.During the awaking period patients wore headphones to shield external noise and music therapists awaken preoperative suggestions of patients in the background of music until patients left postanesthesia care unit?PACU?.The same surgeons and the same anesthetists completed all of experimental operation.Agitation scale, the time of extubation, the time of staying PACU after extubation, visual analogue score?VAS?in resting state at 2 hours postoperatively, patient comfort score at 2 day postoperatively, patient satisfaction were recorded.Mean arterial pressure?MAP?and heart rate?HR?before anesthesia induction?T0?,after anesthesia induction?T1?,at the time of intubation?T2?,at the end of operation?T3?,at the time of extubation?T4?and 5 minutes after extubation?T5?were recorded. Results Compared with the control group, the incidence of postoperative agitation in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group?P<0.05?.MAP and HR before anesthesia induction?T0?,after anesthesia induction?T1?,at the time of intubation?T2?,at the end of operation?T3?had no significant difference in two groups?P>0.05?.Compared with the control group,MAP was significantly lower in experimental group at the time of extubation?T4?and 5 minutes after extubation?T5?.VAS score in resting state at 2 hours postoperatively in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group?P<0.05?.The time of staying in PACU after extubation was significantly shorter than that in the control group?P<0.05?.Patient comfort score at 2 day postoperatively in the experimental group was higher than that in control group?P<0.05?.Patient satisfaction had no significant difference in two groups?P>0.05?.Conclusion Music therapy implemented in perioperative period patients undergoing thoracic surgery reduced the incidence of restlessness and relieved postoperative pain, reduced the fluctuation of blood pressure, shortened the time of staying in PACU after extubation and improved perioperative comfort.Music is an effective, simple and easy to accept the perioperative auxiliary therapy.
