Objective: To investigate the significant difference in the intestinal cleansing effect and safety of oral administration between split-dose 4-L polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution combined with defoamer and 2-L polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution combined with defoamer. Methods: Patients undergoing colonoscopy via outpatient service and inpatient service of the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from April 1,2017 to February 28,2018 were selected. The patients who underwent colonoscopy were divided into 3 groups: A,B and C,A:71 cases of 2-L polyethylene glycol electrolyte in the a group,B:81 cases of 2-L polyethylene glycol electrolyte and simethicone,C:81 cases of spit-dose oral 4-L polyethylene glycol electrolyte and simethicone.Colonoscopy performed by the same physician. This experiment adopts random, double blind, perspective study. The intestinal cleaning effect was evaluated according to Boston score and Ottawa score and defoaming rate, and the time of entry and exit, adenoma detection rate and adverse reactions were recorded and counted. Results: A total of 233 colonoscopy patients were collected, including 114 males(48.9%)and 119 females(51.1%).There was no statistical difference in gender, age, height and weight between the 3 groups(P> 0.05).among the three groups, the defoaming rate and Intestinal cleanliness and the time of entry and exit of the bowel preparations,Intestinal cleanliness were statistically significant(p<0.05).Adenoma detection rate and adverse reactions were not statistically significant(p>0.05).Comparison between two groups, the results showed that there was statistical difference in the defoaming rate between a group A and group B,a group A and group C(p<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the groups B and group C.The results of intestinal cleanliness showed a statistical difference in intestinal cleanliness scores between A and C,B and Cgroups(p<0.05).there was no significant difference in the score of intestinal cleanliness between the group A and the group B(p>0.05).The difference in the time of entry and exit of the bowel preparations was statistically significant in three groups. Conclusion: The quality of bowel preparation of spit-dose oral 4-L polyethylene glycolelectrolyte solution is better than that of 2-L polyethylene glycol electrolyte solutions. The team with simethicone only showed better intestinal defoaming than the pure PEG.
