Objective: The rising morbidity and mortality of colorectal cancer in China has brought serious health problems and economic burden to China. This study explored the factors affecting the prognosis of colorectal cancer in order to reduce postoperative mortality and improve survival of colorectal cancer patients. Methods: Clinical data of 183 patients who underwent radical resection of colorectal cancer in the anorectal surgery department of the first affiliated hospital of China medical university from January 2015 to August 2016 were collected. The subjects were divided into low BMI group and high BMI group.Low and high NLR groups; The relationship between BMI,NLR,PLR and clinicopathological features and prognosis was compared between the low PLR group and the high PLR group. The component ratio of clinical characteristic variables was compared by chi-square test.Kaplan-meier method and COX multivariate regression model were used for survival analysis.P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: In the comparison of baseline characteristics,BMI was related to gender(P=0.033),and was not related to age, smoking history, alcohol abuse history, preoperative serum CEA level, tumor size, tumor site, vascular cancer thromboembolism,TNM stage, and postoperative chemotherapy.NLR was associated with tumor size(P=0.020),gender(P=0.033),and PLR was associated with tumor size(P=0.004).The overall survival rate was 72.3% in the normal BMI group and58.9% in the BMI hyperrecombination group. The overall survival rate was 73.2% in the low NLR group and 56.0% in the high NLR group. The overall survival rate was74.6% in the low PLR group and 54.9% in the high PLR group. In univariate survival analysis, preoperative serum CEA level was significantly correlated with prognosis(P=0.002).TNM stage was significantly correlated with prognosis(P < 0.05).Postoperative chemotherapy is a protective factor for the prognosis of colorectal cancer patients(P=0.018).BMI,NLR and PLR were significantly correlated with the prognosis of colorectal cancer. The mortality risk of patients with BMI hyperrecombination was 1.687 times that of patients with normal BMI(P=0.049,95%ci :1.002-2.839),the mortality risk of patients with high NLR was 1.936 times that of patients with low NLR(P=0.013,95%ci :1.152-3.25),and the mortality risk of patients with high PLR was 2.064 times that of patients with low PLR(P=0.006,95%ci: 1.226-3.477).COX multivariate regression model results showed that preoperative serum CEA level(P=0.046),TNM stage(P < 0.05)and postoperative chemotherapy(P=0.033)were independent prognostic factors.BMI was not an independent factor affecting prognosis(P=0).158),PLR was an independent prognostic factor(P=0.045),and NLR was not an independent prognostic factor(P=0.153).Results: Obesity index BMI,inflammatory response index NLR and PLR are all factors affecting the prognosis of colorectal cancer.BMI and NLR were not independent factors affecting the prognosis of colorectal cancer.PLR is an independent factor affecting the prognosis of colorectal cancer patients.
