Due to the quantity and/or quality of the tears that resulted in the abnormal state of the ocular surface damage and it appears unstable, causing dry eyes appeared, and a burning sensation, foreign body sensation, itching, jealous, photophobia, fluctuation of vision, blurred vision, visual fatigue, and so on a series of symptoms as the main performance of a kind of disease, clinical collectively known as dry eye(dry eye).Long-term or severe dry eye disease can even eventually cause corneal surface wear, filamentous keratitis and corneal ulcer, resulting in corneal opacity and vision loss and other serious clinical outcomes. The prevalence of dry eye disease ranges from 5% to 50%,and in some populations up to 75%.The incidence of dry eye increases with the increase of age,and presents a high incidence in key groups such as college students, field training(northwest region)officers and men, pilots, the elderly, and people in the prison system.Inflammation, cell apoptosis of ocular surface tissue, disordered sex hormone levels and drug-derived factors are the main pathogenesis of xerophthalmia.Treatment modalities mainly include drug therapy such as tear replacement therapy, recombinant cytokines that promote the growth of ocular surface cells,anti-inflammatory drugs and gene therapy, traditional Chinese medicine and the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine, and surgical treatment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of sodium hyaluronate combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor eye drops in the treatment of xerophthalmia. It provides scientific basis and treatment strategy for the choice of treatment method and improvement of prognosis of patients with xerophthalmia.Objective1.Explore of risk factors of dry eye2.To investigate the synergistic effect of recombinant human epidermisl growth factor on sodium hyaluronate in dry eye therapy.MethodsFrom August 2017 to July 2018,231 patients diagnosed with dry eye disease in the ophthalmology outpatient department of Huizhou third people's hospital and 264 patients diagnosed with non-dry eye disease with dry eye as the chief complaint were included, and the risk factors of dry eye disease were analyzed.120 cases of dry eye diagnosed from August 2018 to February 2019 in the ophthalmic outpatient department of Huizhou third people's hospital were selected.Patients were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, who were treated with sodium hyaluronate. The study group received rhEGF eye drops on the basis of the control group.Efficacy, tear length,BUT and OSDI scores, quality of life, anxiety and depression were compared between the two groups.SPSS20.0 software was used to express the measurement data as(x±s),independent sample t test was used for inter-group comparison,chi-square test was used for rate comparison,Fisher exact probability method was used for small sample rate comparison, and logistics multifactor analysis was used for risk factor analysis.P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results1.Age,gender,contact lens wearing history, work environment pollution and history of chemical injuries are independent risk factors for xerophthalmia.2.The effective rate of dry eye treatment, the length of tear secretion,BUT and OSDI scores in the study group were all better than those in the control group.3.The study group was superior to the control group in improving the quality of life of patients with dry eye and reducing anxiety and depression.4.For patients with xerophthalmia who have risk factors such as age, gender, contact lens wearing history, work environment pollution and history of chemical injuries, the treatment effect of the study group of combined treatment is still better than that of the control group.Conclusion1.Age,sex,contact lens wearing history, working environment pollution and history of eye chemical injury are independent risk factors for dry eye.2.The clinical effect of sodium hyaluronate combined with recombinant human epidermic growth factor eye drops in the treatment of dry eye is better than that of sodium hyaluronate alone, which can improve the quality of life and mental health of the patients.Recombinant human epidermic growth factor plays a synergistic effect on sodium hyaluronate in dry eye therapy.
