Object: To observe the effects of Intensive Therapy Program(ITP)on balanced capacity and gross motor function in children with spastic diplegia and cerebral palsy.Method: Forty-five children aged 3 to 7 years with spastic diplegia and cerebral palsy were selected.Their gross motor function grading system(GMFCS)was in grades I to III,and they were divided into three groups randomly by lot.The control group conventional rehabilitation therapy, the corrective wear group combined with Thera Suit on the basis of conventional rehabilitation training on the intensive group received routine rehabilitation training on the combination of Intensive Therapy Program(ITP).All subjects before treatment, one month after treatment, after 3 months of treatment are used gross motor function measure(GMFM-88),Berg Balance Scale,20 cm wide trail walking speeds of 10 m gross motor function, balanced capacity, walking ability assessed.Result: 1.After 1 month of treatment: within the group, the three scores of the control group were not significantly improved than before treatment(P>0.05);the correction score group had significantly improved BBS score and walking speed before treatment(P<0.05),The GMFM-88 score did not improve significantly(P>0.05);all three scores in the intensive group were significantly improved than before treatment(P<0.05).Comparison between groups, corrective wear as compared with the control group had no significant difference in three rates(P>0.05);dense group corrective wear GMFM-88 group in comparison score score and BBS no significant difference(P>0.05),whereas walking speed were significantly different(P<0.05);dense with the control group compared GMFM-88 score was no significant difference(P>0.05),while BBS score and walking speed than the control group were significantly different(P<0.05).2.After 3 months of treatment: within the group, the GMFM-88 score,BBS score, and walking speed of the three groups were significantly improved than before treatment(P<0.05).Comparing between the groups, the three items in the intensive group were significantly different than the correction clothing group and the control group(P<0.05),the BBS score and walking speed in the correction clothing group were significantly different than the control group(P<0.05),and score than the control group had no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion : 1.ITP and Thera Suit can effectively improve the gross motor function, balanced capacity ability and walking ability of children with spastic diplegia and cerebral palsy.2.ITP is superior to Thera Suit and conventional rehabilitation therapy in improving spastic diplegia and cerebral palsy children's gross motor function, balanced capacity ability and walking ability.3.Thera Suit is superior to conventional rehabilitation in improving balanced capacity and walking ability in children with spastic diplegia and cerebral palsy, but it is not significantly different from conventional rehabilitation in improving gross motor function.
