Background With the progress of science and technology and the change of life style, the problem of social population aging is becoming more and more obvious.Frailty has become one of the hot topics in the field of geriatrics.Frailty is a multi-dimensional geriatric syndrome, which reflects the decline of the body's physiological reserve and vulnerability to stress, leading to serious adverse prognosis, such as functional disability, decreased quality of life, increased revisiting rate and mortality.According to relevant studies, frailty often coexists with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other chronic diseases,However, there are few domestic frailty studies on COPD patients at present, and few studies focus on the frailty occurrence of COPD patients and the correlation between them. Objective To explore the correlation between frailty and COPD in elderly patients. Methods 132 cases of COPD patients in stable period who were treated or hospitalized in the geriatric department of the third affiliated hospital of anhui medical university from march 2018 to march 2019 were collected. All enrolled patients were given a detailed medical history and baseline data, including age, sex, number of complications, smoking history, pulmonary function grade, history of acute exacerbations,m MRC grade, and CAT score were recorded.Patients were evaluated for comprehensive COPD in according to GOLD 2017 COPD guidelines.According to the 2017 edition of"Chinese expert consensus on frailty assessment and intervention for elderly patients",Fried scale was selected to evaluate frailty of patients.3 points and above were frailty group. The score below 3 is non-frailty group.SPSS 19.0 statistical software was used toindependent sample t test was used for inter-group comparison. The counting data were described by frequency and percentage,c?17?test was used for inter-group comparison,Pearson correlation analysis and logistic regression analysis were used for the analysis of influencing factors of weakness, and P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results 1.The general data of the two groups were compared according to the score of Fried scale 53 cases in the frailty group and 79 cases in the non-frailty group. The incidence of frailty was 40.2%.There was no significant difference in gender and smoking history between the two groups?P>0.05?.There were statistically significant differences in age, number of complications, pulmonary function grade, history of acute exacerbation,m MRC grade and CAT score between the two groups?P<0.05?.2.Pearson correlation analysis Fried frailty scale score was positively correlated with age, number of complications, pulmonary function grade, history of acute exacerbation,m MRC grade, and CAT score?r=0.375,0.604,0.420,0.419,0.630,0.522,all P<0.05?.3.The multi-factor Logistic regression analysis the influencing factors of frailty in elderly COPD patients Age,number of complications, pulmonary function grade, history of acute exacerbation,m MRC grade and CAT score could all the influence factors of elderly patients with COPD combined with weak,so if there is a weakness as the dependent variable?assignment 1=weak,0=not weak?,the above factors as independent variables, the logistic regression analysis results show that the m MRC grade and CAT score were the influencing factors of frailty in elderly patients with COPD?P<0.05?.Conclusion Frailty has a high incidence rate in elderly COPD patients.Age,number of complications, pulmonary function grade, acute exacerbation history,m MRC grade,CAT score and other factors are related to frailty in elderly COPD patients, among which m MRC grade and CAT score are the influencing factors.
