Objective To explore and analyze the clinical characteristics, pathogenic distribution and treatment of pyogenic liver abscess(PLA),and provide relevant experience and basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of PLA in the regionMethods Retrospective analysis of clinical characteristics, etiology distribution and treatment of 132 patients with PLA who were admitted to a hospital from March 2015 to June 2018.According to the different treatment methods of PLA,they were divided into three groups, and the related treatment indicators such as treatment outcome and hospitalization time were observedResults The average age of 32 patients(52.70± 18.20)years old,and the majority of patients were over 65 years old(62.12%).The main clinical manifestations were fever 110(83.33%)and right upper abdominal pain 67(50.76%).The pathogens were predominantly Klebsiella pneumoniae(54.35%)and Escherichia coli(33.70%).Most PLA patients were diagnosed with biliary tract disease(cholecystitis,cholangitis,etc.)(75.76%),then followed by renal diseases(kidney cysts, renal dysfunction,etc.)(68.18%),diabetes(65.91%)and hypertension(54.55%).After admission, the patients were treated with antibiotics alone or in combination with antibiotics.Among them,72(54.55%)patients with PLA were treated with antibiotics alone or in combination. The average length of hospital stay was 37.63±6.08(days);35(26.52%)patients were treated with antibiotics. On the basis of the same,CT or ultrasound guided percutaneous drainage or catheter drainage, the average length of hospital stay was 25.83±5.57(days);On the basis of antibacterial therapy,25(18.94%)cases were treated with surgery, and the average hospital stay was 20.44±4.39(days),There were significant differences in hospitalization time between the three groups(F=27.8,p<0.05)Conclusion PLA is highly prevalent in older patients. There exist many accompany diseases in PLA patients.Biliary origin is the main cause of PLA.The pathogens are mainly Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli. The therapeutic effect of antibiotics combined with percutaneous drainage is a good choice in clinical...
